There is another solenoid called the torque converter clutch solenoid. Could be that?

Think you should’ve replaced the VTC strainer when you had the tensioner assembly off…

Helpful video; but, it does not demonstrate an easy way of removing and replacing an alternator. I’ve replaced an alternator on my 1990 EF, SI before and it was pretty much straight forward. Engine size and placement of other under-the-hood parts of the vehicle may be contributing factors to the amount of ease, which will vary from model to model in some way.

Hello! Congratulations on your videos, they are very helpful! I would like to ask you, I have a Honda Civic D14A2 1997 and my question is: is it better to put oil or grease on the cylinder head screws? And if it is the grease, should I put only on the end of the thread or on the entire length of the thread and on the washer on the head?

Hey man do you got a link to that lower trailing arm removal vid? Can’t find it in your catalogue and I’m trying to swap out the rears on my ‘08 pilot. Paid extra for the ones with the bushings already installed but can’t find an instructional on the removal. Thanks for the content either way, good stuff

it's nothing wrong with the transmission, just pour some AT-205 Re-Seal into the transmission and it will run smooth as butter. I bought a 2003 Honda Accord from a guy and he didn't tell me it had transmission issues, so when I put it on the machine it put up those exact same codes. I changed out the transmission fluid and added that AT-205, plus I changed out the solenoids and it was running quiet and smooth. You can also pour some seafoam in the game tanks to clean the injectors. I have an Element with over 200k miles and it still runs quiet and smooth with zero issues.

Please use Lucas Transmission Fix too. It will fix all slipping in about 2 weeks or 75miles. I had p0780 and it was a clogged screen filter on Transmission c9nteol solenoid valve C. The one with 1 plug.

Any major differences you know of in regards to disconnecting a manual versus automatic transmission? I'm guessing the selector cable from last video is probably irrelevant. What about fluid? Do you think I'll need to pull that?

Nice camera work! I appreciate that you take the time to move your camera around. It's tough to navigate all the YT tutorials where you can't tell at all where things are or what is happening. I'm taking detailed notes for an RD1 rebuild I'm embarking on tomorrow.

mine 1.5 wagon was been stored for 5 years and it was running by brake cleaner so I assume the engine is fine. Yesterday I finally sort out the fuel issue by change fuel pump, filter and injector, then it sound like it has no compression, we measured it, and it has 40-50psi across all cylinder. We then add some engine oil into one cylinder, surprisingly it start up, but when we drive it, it make pining noise when we press the throttle, almost sound like some heatshield on exhaust is loose (but I quite sure it's not), donno if it's detonation

Hi, I’ve watched the video and read through all of the comments here I would like to add that there is a video where a guy did a Honda Civic. I believe it was an 04 with all these issues and he back, flushed it with diesel fuel and flushed it out and the car ran fine. I guess there is an internal filter as well in transmission and also has an external filter that you guys have been speaking of. Maybe try something like this before giving up home and doing a transplant.

Doing compressor, condenser, radiator, thermostat and rear upper adjustable control arms this weekend. 2004 element 253K. Thank you for the 3 videos. I wanted to know if I could reach and remove compressor with condenser and radiator out and you answered my question. How much oil did you add to compressor? I bought Denso also. Did yours come pre-filled? I read somewhere that it comes with a few ounces but you have to add about 4 additional ounces.

WARNING: At 14:10 of the video, he shows how to check for TDC with a screw driver on piston#1, then with the timing belt removed, he rotates the crankshaft pulley. Only do this while the ting belt is installed because it also spins the camshaft pulleys, which opens & closes the valves, accordingly. This is an INTEFERENCE ENGINE. This means that if the timing belt rips or is not installed,the valves will bent by the pistons. Now you need a new engine. I wouldn't be surprised if he bent 1 or 2 valves at least. On NON-INTERFERENCE engines, like my 1991 4Runner & my 1990 Miata, I can spin the crankshaft as many times as I want with no timing belt installed, & the pistons will never touch the valves. There's a gap large enough that piston & valves won't interfere with each other, hence: a NON-INTERFERENCE ENGINE. However, 1st generation CR-V are INTERFERENCE ENGINES. No timing belt, no spinning of the crankshaft pulley/Dampner.
@MrJayDM
@MrJayDM 3 ай бұрын
Yes, it is an interference engine. No, you can not bend a valve by turning the crank by hand. In most cases with the B,D,F and H series engines, if the timing belt breaks going over 2k rpm or more, you will bend a valve, running at less then 2k rpm when ur belt breaks, 9 times out of 10 you will not bend a valve. I have 30 years of experience with Hondas. Ive been through any and all scenarios when it comes to breaking a belt.

My car is the same one and it shifts normal up until 40 mph in which case acceleration starts suffer, when I press the accelerator at this point it bogs down where rpms even lower a bit, until I press the accelerator even more and suddenly rpms jump and it seems vtec was activated, sudden power! So weird, any gents know what could be wrong?
