In this type of test is important having a good traction control or a limited slip differential (or both). Ground clearance or chassis aren't important, unless a car is so low to touch the ground, but that was not the case here because both the cars had enough ground clearance.

@@newrenaultcapturoff-road566 Ok but if I look at the statistics of both of them in the video is just cited a 500 X car with no right optionals to have an "exam" like that.I' m saying this because my girlfriend has this car with optionals (cross and not only cosmetically) and climbs on every type of ground eith no efforts... also the tyres are important.As the streets have their own velocity,also those types of grounds have their own particularities and appropriate wheels...

@@TatianaVonDeg both the cars had summer tyres, therefore the comparison was fair. About the selector for the traction control, Fiat doesn't provide it on the 500X anymore. If you have the opportunity, make a test like this, and upload it on KZbin, I would be curious.

It's an AWD vehicle. Here we're comparing two FWD with open differentials.

I don't think so. Based on Fiat website, the cross version has only esthetic changes. Anyway, make a test like this one and show us.

@@josekxr95 Fiat don't sell that optional anymore (at least in my country). The new 500X Cross is just cosmetics. If you have one with the selector, you could do the test, I would be curious about the result.

I'm a private doing this for hobby, so no need to cheat. What you see is what happened, the details are in description. Honestly, I expected something better from the 500X, which had such a poor traction that I struggled just to place it in position for the test.
