Smiled watching you with the old Lowepro. I have a decades old Lowepro Computrekker 40 that’s built like a tank. Fits in overhead storage perfectly and holds either my 180-600mm or 400mm 4.5 plus a 70-200 2.8 and accessories. I’ve had it all over the world and in the Canadian backcountry. Hope you have a great trip. 😎

I love that Lowerpro Bag......Wish they still made them. Thanks for sharing your gear list for the trip. Alot of times we over pack and think our vacation gear we might need. Plane trips help us limit the gear. Thanks Phil. Did you ever do a comparison video with the Revolutions and Maven Filters? I can't remember if you did or not.

Mine arrives next week (I hope), and I cant wait. Coming from a line of Nikon cameras including D40, D40x, D3200 (Wifes camera), D5200 (Lasted 2 weeks), D7000 (Handed down to my son) and now my D800 and D850, I think the Z8 seems to be the next step for me. Thanks for the video! Oh and I am seriously looking at the 180-600 as well, as that is far beyond anything I have for the D850

Street photography tends to be Very quick. The moment is there, then it's gone. If you are using a prime lens, you are either In the right place, at the right distance, or you're not. With a zoom lens, you can catch the moment at a wide variety of ranges without spooking your subject. I often zoom tight into the interesting area of the subject. With a prime, you get what you get.

I’m surprised with the lost bags. The only time I’ve had a checked bag get lost was years ago when a travel agent booked flights that included an airline that wasn’t a partner with the other airline. Since 911 they are much more intent on your bag being on the plane with you, especially on international flights. I always check my main bag. As for Delta, you can use their app to track your bag as you go.

Hi Phil. I try to practice the focus bracketing when I want to take photos of landscape. But I always have a problem with that : I chose for example 20 photos, but I don't say to set the focus increment(I set to the default value, or to the minimum value or to the maximum value but it don't work). At his maximum, my canon r6 mark2 takes 5 photos and never 20. Do you know where is the problem ? Thanks a lot Phil I love your videos and photos 🫶
@PhilThach
@PhilThach 2 күн бұрын
@@isamu0810 the camera will stop making photos when it reaches the number you have set or when focus reaches infinity. Remember to set your focus to the closest part of the scene that you want to be in focus, and then each focus adjustment will be further away from that point.
@isamu0810
@isamu0810 2 күн бұрын
@@PhilThach when I place my hand in front of my caméra, there is no problem. It takes all the photos. But on a landscape, when I focus on the point closest to me, that is to say at the bottom of the image in reality, it does not take all the photos. There's something I'm doing wrong but I can't figure out what
@isamu0810
@isamu0810 2 күн бұрын
I remember your video with star wars. And I Watch another video on focus bracketing and I understand one important thing. When you choose the focus, it move from the right to the left. Me, when I want to do a focus bracketing on a landscape, I put the focus on the bottom and on left, near the border of the picture. So my camera takes 5 pictures and stop because the focus is out of the picture because it's start from the left. To take the number of pictures I want, I must put the focus on the right of my picture and I think it will be ok 😊

Clickless is just a terrible design. You can't change aperture buy feel; you must stop and look at the lens. It's just mind boggling why they don't make preset manual lenses. It's so much more convenient.
