These types of videos would actually be useful if they weren't so darn fast and would actually have the voice of the designer talking and explaining what he is doing! Otherwise they are totally useless!

Hi! Thank you for this low paced tutorial! ^_^ I love your stylized materials. I get well following along until 25:20, when you randomize the rotation of the tiles, because i get some weird artifacts in my tiles so i'm forced not to use the rotation in order to avoid ruining the material. Also i get strange graphic artifacts on the surface of the tiles, which i can't explain as i'm pretty sure i followed every step you made. I just can't figure out how to correct it. Thanks so much for these videos though. They are really appreciated.

I SOLVED THE ISSUE! Go to EVERY node and change the "Output Format" to 16 Bits. Silky smooth.

Gotta say, although this looks cool it is nearly impossible to follow even at 0.5 speed. Your mouse movements are all over the place, you'll edit something, click off of it then wait before clicking back on to it and changing the values again but giving absolutely no time to be able to pause and check the newly changed values. I'm following every single step yet what I have doesn't look the same as the tutorial. I've followed a lot of tutorials for programming, art etc so I don't mind taking my time to go through each part slowly but you just don't provide enough time and a lot of things aren't clear enough to accurately follow.

Hi, the tile_sampler at 3:22 makes the caustic like effect look more like growth rings from a tree then how it looks in the video. How do I smooth it out? Everything else goes great with 0.25x speed, thanks!

you can see how he clicks on pick gradient right before that. with that tool you can basically draw a line over any picture/colors and it will create a gradient with all the colors you touched. he most likely did this in a second monitor.
