Do you try to keep your creations out of the sun? I wonder if there is anything to do to keep the colors vibrant without fading.

Hiya. Yeah, many papers (even high-quality) fade in direct sunlight. Some spray-on varnishes offer UV protection, but I have never tested them. I just don't put my sculptures in direct sunlight.💛

Seems cool but it's not really waterproof, is it? Like those trays, you cannot really use food on them right, and for the flowers, isn't that difficult with the water? Not hating, just trying to figure things out🤷‍♀️

Hi fanny. Thanks for the comment. They are primarily decorative, like art. :). I use simple glass cylinders in the vases if I want to use them for flowers. They are designed that way so the glass insert fits. The trays are for dry things, like jewelry and keys and other small trinkets, and just to look aesthetically pleasing.

Corrie Beth - how do you cause the bleaching of the paper here prior to putting on the marker? I have your book but the Oxalis in that is the green variety and I’d love to make this dark purple one.

I paint on the bleach with a paintbrush and then spritz it with water to make the bleach bleed/blend a little. Some papers bleach better than others. The one I used in this video was from paper source.

I unfortunately bought Ashland floral tape at Michaels. I bought the white. I have lots of experience wrapping my own crepe paper take with Alene's Tacky Glue. So I know how to do this. I bought this Ashland tape because I wanted to put it on a wire with faux berries and leaves (made in China) I stuck into rocks and water to support my forced paper whites. To my amazement it broke into two layers! One looks like scotch tape and the other like white paper. Since Ashland does not seem to have a video on how to use their floral tape, I am searching all over to find out how to use their tape. Actually I bet it is one that is less good... Anyway, I wonder if you have advice?

Oh! wow! I don't know that brand, and I have never heard of that happening before. but, if I were in need of a floral tape that has to sit in water, I would use the one that feels more like duck tape... let me see if I see a link. ah, here: amzn.to/3F3R2v5
