Can not fit this to a normal plumbing system you must have a water tank cold feed and independent hot water feed so you do not contaminate water system in property check water regulation as you could be open to prosecution be careful when fitting water board inspectors are looking into these plumbing fittings

Won’t fit inside a WC unit. Can’t bend it close enough to the bottom of the cistern.

There are some comments on Amazon that the cone will only fit 38mm flush pipes and nothing bigger is this correct?

Yep that's correct, flush pipe cone seal leeks because most people can't fit them correctly, most new installations comes with a seal in the flush pipe and siphon, the seal is about 1 pound to buy if you need to replace it on an existing WC which is leaking, back in the 70s I used to use silicone on the ribs, nowadays I use CT1, i use CT1 and most plumbers do because you could put the system back into commission immediately,
