I'm almost done torturing you with comments, but the banjo tuning joke killed me. The fiddlers make a tradition of complaining and it took me half my life to get it. Sorry. Overflowing with love.

Thank you for continuing, guys, you've been doing a huge service to humanity all these years despite losses. I want to thank you now that I have a chance; fully half the songs and tunes my folks played throughout my childhood were versions they got straight from you and I can't help but like them best. It goes beyond that though. Just, thank you ❤

Why can't I comment on any NLCR songs on KZbin? This is my first chance and they were arguably the most influential band in my youth, old-time wise ❤ I haven't seen this concert before but Baltimore Fire is already bringing tears.

Judy rocked with Rotary Connection. IMHO, she was the star of the first album, which remains one of my all-time faves. Just wish it had lasted longer.

There was another flood in 93, but there was a flood in 73, also, that was the reason there was such a large flood wall built that saved downtown in 93. It was nearly as bad as the 93 flood.

To try to recover the costs of producing this, I sold this video as DVD and Blu-ray, but hadn't sold any in a long time (pretty much just after I finished producing it, in 2016). Add to that that I'm getting older, I wanted to be sure that it was available to the world.

I am not sure where you got that impression. Most of the sings I have been to or seen are at least half young people. There are many, many young people into this music and it is not at all dying. I am one of them, I am not even 40 yet, a lot of them are college kids. It is actually growing and expanding, they have been starting up new conventions all over the world, and there are numerous local small groups all over the place. Many thousands of people. It hasn't been dying since the 1960s or 70s. It has never been church music, this tradition began with singing schools taught by traveling singing masters. Although personally I think a church that incorporated this into their worship would really draw people. This stuff is so much better to sing and hear than the insipid stuff that most churches get these days, and it is really a spiritual kind of experience just to participate.
