Sooo...yes I am discovering this 6yrs later. I'm sending you a huge hug. I am 65 and decided to buy myself a pool...well water here too. I am so confused on what works and what doesn't. Thank you Lord for sending her to show me an easy effective way to get rid of it. Too many confusing do this and that and others that tell us to not do it and why. YOU my girl are a God thing! Thank you so much for this blessing. I'm old and too pooped to whatever any one else has told us to do. Big hugs sweetheart!!

Sorry. I'm not able to record both halves of the boys' game. My daughters play for the girls' team, so I record their games for the coaches to rewatch to get stats for MaxPreps. If the boys play right after, I only have enough storage on my iPad to get one half of the boys' game.

I looked it up online it says that fat floats and I’m pretty fat and I’m sinking to the bottom of the pool and where do I find a deeper pool I’m 5’6 or 5’7 and I’m just sinking
@TheHouseThatNeverSlumbers2 жыл бұрын
This same brand makes a 24 ft x 52 in version too. My daughters are 5'9", 5"10", and 6 ft, and they swim in this pool several times a week.

@@TheHouseThatNeverSlumbers are you able to swim without hitting the bottom of the pool and do you float or sink
@TheHouseThatNeverSlumbers2 жыл бұрын
@@nicereviews5151 , we would need a much more expensive pool to actually swim, but if you want to cool off or lie on a float and read a book, these pools are great. This pool works for our needs and budget at this time, and it's very easy to maintain. I sometimes see full-sized pools posted on the Facebook Marketplace for free (usually when someone buys a house with one and didn't want it), but I"ve heard you need to buy a new liner if you move one.

It's level now. The hydraulics on the tractor were broken that year, and my kids put up the pool themselves because they were tired of waiting. We leveled it with the tractor the next year and have been leaving it up through winter now that it's level.

I have a lot of brown sludge "iron" on the bottom of my pool. I can I remove that so I can start doing these steps
@TheHouseThatNeverSlumbers2 жыл бұрын
I had that too the last time I had to empty my pool and refill it. My pool came with a vacuum that hooks to the filter, so I cleaned it with that while keeping the sock on the outtake to catch the bits of iron. If you don't have a pool vac, you will need to stir it up often to get it into your filter. I would get a broom from Dollar Tree and run it along the bottom several times a day if you can.
@jessicalynnsmith83712 жыл бұрын
We have one, it seems to push the stuff out the sides. Last night was day one of this process of yours...fingers crossed that we can get this clean. We have refilled our pool twice now using RV filters also. The pool company informed us that it would help. It didn't.
@TheHouseThatNeverSlumbers2 жыл бұрын
@@jessicalynnsmith8371 , I added some of that polyester fiberfill for stuffing pillows (craft department at Walmart) to my socks this last time, and it seemed to catch more. It took me about 8 days to get completely clear water. I still have a little bit of the iron sediment on the bottom that the vacuum spits back out, but my water is sparkling clear even though I'm keeping my chlorine level at the low end of the normal range.

Thank you for this video.! I filled my pool with my well water and noticed how green the water was. I know that I have a lot of iron in my water. At first I was using a camper filter, but it slowed the water pressure down to much. I’ve been putting socks on the 2 intakes every day and running the pump for 10 hours. It has taken a week of changing out rusty socks, and rinsing the filter to make the pool look clear. I’m also planning on keeping the pool up through a Michigan winter. It took 3 days to fill a 20x48 pool. I don’t want to go through that again next year.
@TheHouseThatNeverSlumbers2 жыл бұрын
I'm glad the sock trick worked for you too! I've been leaving mine up the last two winters. I just drain enough water to take the filter off the side, and I store that in my basement because I don't want it to crack. Then it only takes a couple of hours to add enough water again when it gets warm enough to open the pool.

how often to you change the filter and the sock
@TheHouseThatNeverSlumbers3 жыл бұрын
I buy two filters a year and swap them everyday and rinse. I usually swap the sock every 3-4 days. I'm not filtering iron anymore because I've been leaving the pool up for winter, but I use the sock to catch the small bugs now.
