Been all in on the Skybound Energon Universe. Not perfect, but they're doing the Lord's work.

In Beast Wars, Dinobot downloaded a copy of himself into the Axalon. That made it into the show. They were going to do an ep where Rat Trap retrieves that backup and uploads it in Transmetal 2 Dinobot to get his friend back, but it ultimately didn't work because Dinobot 2's spark was half a spark cut out of Rampage. Yet in the finale they act like all that happened, so when Rampage dies, Transmetal 2 Dinobot immediately becomes Dinobot.

Thats definitely star toys tracks imo.

They weren't just trying to being "competitive" in the market by offering another design of a character someone just released, they were trying to shut the others down, completely, and since they had a few good releases out, they tried to stand on that and let the market "wait" for product.
