There has only been one punter that became a head coach, and he was actually a defensive back that punted by default. There has never been a pure punter to coach a major position, my friend. †

It's well known that NFL teams were not sending scouts and media was showing up to Buffs press events in the same numbers before Coach Prime got there.

JSU was on the road the first four games of the season in 2023.That's including a game in ATL the week prior to OBC. JSU fans punted on OBC last year.

This is 100% Correct & it's a matter of if & not when they'll return & that's when the Orange Blossom Classic will return to it's normal self again. Now that there's a new President & direction happening at FAMU don't be surprised if they don't return as well. It all just makes sense really 😀

@dperfect28 I fully expected it to drop because you can't take out the 2 best HBCU's from a game & realistically think the turn out will be the same. Truth is there is no real value in HBCU Football which is why they negotiate for whatever they can get which is pennies on the Dollar. I've learned that in this space to have low expectations for the sake of your sanity because they honestly have no clue of what they're doing at all. I just support & keep it moving fam 😀

They left the Southern Heritage Classic for a game with the same payout with more expenses. JSU fans can’t go to Miami every year, but they had a successful game in Memphis! TSU and UAPB aren’t complaining about the payout and the crowd is still good.

With all due respect, Mississippi is not known for its progressive black folks! How the hell they gonna say Prime SOLD OUT because he left for better pastures? Every job should be a steppingstone for your next job!! His thinking about the world was too different to stay at that school long term! HBCU's usually do things half ass and always misappropriating the money! Yet, the crabs there wanted Prime to stay in the pot with them forever! They wanted him to stay until death do them part! His tenure there was a win/win for both parties while it lasted. Why couldn't JSU just wish him the best and keep moving forward? Why? Because many of us in the community have not EVOLVED enough to be able to wish each other well! It is a shame that HBCU's have been in existence for hundreds of years and the facilities still can't compete with other schools! Look how Bethune-Cookman looked when Ed Reed went there! The low frequency thinking is "we can't do no better"! Prime was not built to stay in that type of mediocre environment for long! I am a Georgetown alumnus and never watched JSU football until Prime was coaching. Again, it was a win/win for both parties!!

TC Taylor didn't use the full Playbook & refused to go back downfield after the TD throw which would of won them the Game. He don't see himself on the FBS level & kept JD Martin & Irv Mulligan out of the Game only to play them vs Lane. He didn't want to risk injury & his Teams chances of winning the SWAC & Celebration Bowl. The Team got payed & that's all he really cared about. He Coaches Scared & didn't fully trust Jacobian Morgan in this Game.

TC can’t make the QB throw the ball downfield. The QB has to be more aggressive and push the ball downfield. JD & Irv are hurt, that’s why they didn’t play. He didn’t hold them out. The run game wasn’t the issue. Jacobin doesn’t trust himself, that’s why he doesn’t throw the ball downfield more. I would advise to get some better sources before you start 🤮 at the mouth.

@brettrobinson7760 This is a lie & clearly you don't read well. I don't need a source when I looked at the Game & seen exactly what happened. Also they clearly said it wasn't nothing bad of why Irv Mulligan & JD Martin was out meaning they couldn't specify on what it was. If it was an Injury they would have said so but clearly it was more than just that & they didn't want to risk injury vs an FBS opponent they got payed for. All TC had to do was draw up Passing Plays Downfield & tell him to make the throw. It makes zero sense for a Qb with a strong arm not to trust his ability to push the Ball Downfield when he scored a TD because of it smh. This ain't have nothing to do with Jacobian not trusting himself. This was about TC not fully trusting his QB & Jacobian not fully trusting his Teammates to do their Jobs. It is that simple. He didn't fully trust his O line for protection & Fabian Mccray is overrated. Rico Powers wanted to leave JSU because of the lack of Resources that was provided which was why he was pushed all over the field vs ULM because he had no power. That's why Seven Mcgee left for the same reasons because he knew he couldn't fully be himself without the Resources to help provide what he needs to compete which was why he played undersized on the field. The problem is Jackson State & HBCU's are playing FBS Teams Undersized & without the required Power needed to beat FBS Teams which is why they always lose. You need Money & Resources to compete with that & until an Underfunded Jackson State realizes this it will be the same dance & song. They're now 0 -14 vs FBS Teams & there's a reason for that. The only person who can & will fix that problem as a Head Coach is Ed Reed.

Everyone knows this is a lie & they just beat NDSU which is a Team most Alums at Jackson State fear to go up against because they see themselves below them. Logically speaking deion as the Head Coach would not have lost to this ULM Team & he have the right to talk about JSU since their last SWAC Championships & Celebration Bowl Appearances happened while he was the Coach. I believe Jackson State can win the SWAC & Celebration Bowl this year but it will not be because of TC Taylor. It will be because they have a better Roster.

When something big happens it gains National Attention & bring new eyes & fans with it. I am happy that I was 1 of them & there are a ton of new media that have came into the HBCU Space & will never leave thanks to deion being the Coach. Nobody is mad & if anything ( They're grateful 😀 )

Simple: deion is a former Jackson State Coach & he won his game vs NDSU which is an FCS School. JSU is an HBCU FCS Program so there's a connection with the University. He also Coached against ULM in his 1st full season only losing by 5. They lost to ULM 30 - 14.

They can win if the leadership is removed with better decision makers who are looking to hire the best instead of hiring someone just because they're an Alum. If they haven't seen the best consistently for years at each position it will be harder for them to evaluate who's really Dominate at that spot. Ed Reed as tge Head Coach of Jackson State will not have this same struggle at all.
