Very accurate review. It’s a great app for speaking and oral comprehension which are the most critical skills to learn. By the fifth and final level, I found it increasingly difficult to complete a lesson every day. It is very helpful to use another app in conjunction with Pimsleur to compensate for its weak spots. If you are wondering how well you speak and understand French after completing all 150 lessons, the answer is that ends somewhere in the middle of level A2. This may sound disappointing, but the truth is that it takes more than six months to reach an intermediate level.

French movies use too many abbreviations when talking ….it is still difficult to understand . Can you make a video of this abbreviated french . For example when in cc Je suis they say. Chui….tu as they say. t’a ect.

Thanks for sharing these. For future formatting, please consider not putting the English captions immediately beside the French ones; anyone with a default language will only look at their own unless they are in different areas of the TV, it's just basic neuroscience. Thank you for the content!

Hello, I am also a French learner who can speak a few sentences, and I love❤ this channel and how it really boosts my French learning. I want to share my thoughts on what she might have wanted to say. •First of all, let's take the second sentence( 1:57 ). I think she meant to say, "I'm very sorry that you are hurt." Since you mentioned that "vraiment" is a better use, I think the whole translation will then be "Je suis vraiment désolée que tu as mal." •Next, I will take the fourth sentence( 4:08 ). Over there, I think she meant to ask, "Do you think you miss me?" or "Do you think you still miss me?" Using this, I think the right translation will be "Tu crois que je te manque?" or "Tu crois que je te manque encore?" •Next, I will take the fifth( 5:14 ). For that, I am pretty okay with your translation, but I want to ask if she could have rather written "Je t'aime beaucoup, meuf". •The next sentence I will take is the sixth( 7:29 ). To be honest, I think that is a really good translation and that what you thought she meant to say was even a better way of putting it in English. But looking at it literally, I think she meant to,"I am sad that I was stupid/ dishonest/ unfaithful," which would translate to "Je suis triste que j'étais..."(I honestly don't know the french words for those adjectives.) •Moving on, in the seventh sentence( 8:04 ), I think you got that last part right because I also think she meant "your broken heart", but for the first part of the sentence, I think she meant to say, "I ask forgiveness of your broken heart" or "I beg your broken heart". Honestly, I think Emily was trying her best to sound like a French literate who is good in French vocabulary, so she might have made her English more formal and poetic, and then did some direct translation. •Finally, I will take the eighth sentence( 9:00 ). Over there, I think she meant to say, " We really need to talk, please." I would have agreed with your thoughts on what she said, but the moment I saw "talk and listen", I realised that that doesn't really sound well even for an English person. Knowing also that when English speakers want to have a conversation over an issue that has caused a separation, they normally and simply say, "We need to talk", since a talk involves speaking and listening. Also, I think Emily might have used a translator there as you said. Therefore, I think the better translation will be "On a vraiment besoin de parler, s'il te plaît". If there are any mistakes in this long message, pardon me. They were unintentional.
