You are amazing. EVERY TIP was on point. (I did this in the dark with a headlamp lol) TIME TO COMPLETE ESTIMATE: Took me about 4.5 hours SOLO (it was at night time, and I don't have a garage, maybe if its daytime w/ garage you'll save a bunch of time, and this was solo) TIP FOR OTHERS: 2 THINGS YOU CAN SAVE TIME WITH 1) I only removed half of the screws (the half under middle of car, and KEPT front screws in, bent it down, and was able to do it all. (15 mins saved here?) 2) I did NOT need to remove the bracket that holds the first part of the exhaust in, just pull it through THANK YOU SO MUCH! I LIKED AND SUBBED

Great video… very helpful!! I just installed a very similar kit for my neighbor. He has a single car garage door and had hit the side a few times. This fixes that problem. I started with the passenger side first and like you, broke the mirror glass… until I also figured out that pushing the glass from the back rather than pulling from the front is a better approach. I should have paid more attention to how you removed your right mirror glass. On the plus side, newer kits are wired in with a single jumper on the OBD connector so that saved some time. For the rear brakes, I believe I have retracted the pressure puck by turning the puck with a right angle grinder tool if you do not have the right brake tool. On my Cadillac there is a procedure to retract the e-brake motor without using a separate electric method, not sure on the Subaru. Nice job!

Man highlander is a pain in the ass. I was looking for this video but too much work to change to a different light. Same thing with the front dome light you have to hear up the mini lights to change. To much work.
