I would like to recommend a drama called "Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty".(唐朝诡事录) It has a first season and a second season now, telling the story of two male leaders leading a team to uncover mysteries in ancient China. The plot is a bit like an ancient version of Under the Skin. You will definitely enjoy watching it😘

My Journey to You is great drama in many aspects. The story, acting, casts, cinematography and ost are all on points. Everyone has interesting characters and so smart! Plus, for me, it’s really hard to predict what’s going to happen next, and that is why it’s so good. Things you think you know turns out to be something slightly or even vastly different. Sometime, I kept rooting for each character back and fore even though they had bad blood😅 I highly recommend this masterpiece and hope you give it a try one day❤

I see that you often watch films with the same actors/actresses as Yuxi, Shuxin. I suggest you should try watching a new serie with new people like Blossom, this film is really good. Btw, main actress of this movie is Wen Qing in “The Untamed”

It is said that for the reason of Chinese drama censorship, both male and female lead from the real world is not allowed. So they only showed Fuzhou's voice but not his face. (Ding Yuxi was there when they shot the ending secne.) Anyway, I like this story and the ending very much. They have tried their best to give us more clues.

So fun to see your reaction to the ending! I had the EXACT same reaction to you with the last turn and them not showing him - they literally released BTS pics of him standing there! The background music to it was amazing imo, just bc it was Ding Yuxi's actual own OST and I thought it was so smart to not reveal it until right at the end when Fu Zhou/Mu Sheng truly "finds himself". Watching it the second time through your reaction made me pick up different bits, like how the magic spear is literally her pen, how his surgeon was the Astronomical Bureau Chief and how they got Mu Yao's child actress to be the girl who was bullied! Ding Yuxi's uses his actual voice to dub the parts where he speaks as Fu Zhou/the ending book monologue too which I think is amazing detail from production. I've read the book and feel like the scriptwriter tied it up really well, like the reason why she was sucked into the word in the first place, the reason why there was the 100% mission (the reference at the book at the end was perfect), and why certain characters in the "book" were the way they were. But yeah, just want that 5-second pan to ml and it would've completely satisfying to me lol, people were raging about the lack of kiss scene but seeing how the OG author of Mu Sheng's basic character was technically a child I'm fine with that lol. New sub who followed this round! Looking forward to seeing what you react to next <3
