is there acommadation available at the Kaaimans river pass. and how do you get to those houses over the river. I also remember them being there forever and am intrigued.
@DrivingSA-ot8dsАй бұрын
@@gregsmith3995 there is a park and other accommodation when you turn down on the ocean side of the bridge. Afaik, you cross the river in the park to get to those houses but I'm not sure.

Just a little correction, I believe that the discovery of Great whites jumping was first recorded in Mossel Bay.
@DrivingSA-ot8ds2 ай бұрын
I'll accept your word for it but the most well known cases if breeching great whites are at Seal Island in False Bay, one of the main breeding areas of great whites. Although there seems to be a decline in the great whites in False Bay in recent years

You missed half the town that you did not drive through. If you turned of to the left after going of the N2, you would actually drive into town. You missed the actual town. Giving such an review / overview of a town is not on. People watching your review are missing all the beauty of this town. This is just my own opinion.
@DrivingSA-ot8dsАй бұрын
Yes, you're right. I only realised it some time later when I drove there with my sister and didn't have my camera set up. Turning right at the circle at the Chapel, coming from Friemersheim, took us through the actual CBD of Groot Brak. I hope my video will still encourage people to visit and explore Groot Brak

From reports I've seen both private and provincial rescue services are out there. Including local farmers with tractors and helping people get to food if nearby. The problem is that most of our services aren't really geared for this type of emergency, with snow plows and snow jetskis, etc. We can only hope that that they can clear the roads at least partially to allow for the traffic to start moving

I first saw the paintings after I shot the Moordkuilrivier Pass video and was struck by the quality. Went back to do the more detailed shots and found out the name of the artist at the local spasa shop - Oom Fourie - and got his full name in one of the comments.

It's new roofs, not old ones, that get blown off in Cape Town. The reason is that craftsmanship, materials and construction methods were much better a century ago. The emphasis should be on which roofs get blown off, not the fact that roofs get blown off. Sadly, people get sensational news instead of factual across the wide media spectrum. Please use this as an added measure of discernment.
@DrivingSA-ot8ds10 ай бұрын
I appreciate your comment and probably agree. However, in these situations people who are affected should be empathised with regardless of the age of their buildings
