@@deputietribe awesome! We have tried about 5 different phonics programs in the last 13 months plus now bringing in the additional grammar elements, good grief. It’s just too much stimulation with all these modern programs, it’s no wonder my reader is struggling. Really looking forward to trying something simple, streamlined, cohesive, and timeless 🙏🏻

Agreed. I get overwhelmed as well. If you want something absolutely complete and McGuffey based, You can also check out eclectic foundations. They use the other (newer) set of McGuffey readers, Harvey’s grammar and implement hand writing and other elements to make a complete language arts program. I prefer the older, original set of mcguffeys but I LOVE how eclectic foundations took all the one room school house tried and true books and made cohesive workbooks for them. You can search for my video comparing the two mcguffeys. I also may have a video walking through the eclectic foundations books.

Does everyone know about Elimination Communication? It's a much better method and you can start earlier. There are videos of babies a few months old using sign language to ask to go to the potty and using it again to say they are done.

What kind of mold do you have in your house? I was told I have Aspergillus (black mold) that's from "a building," I assume our house. So how many air purifiers did you buy? I heard aspergillus mold is in the house and outside all over. We had a mold remediator come out to our home and it looked like we didnt have mold (only 3% chance). So we're going to have a recheck next week for it. I was just put on 4 supplements, not told anything about diet but I've been carnivore for 6 weeks. I've had neuro issues for 20 mo, saw at least 20 practitioners and have had many many symptoms, 6 severe including averaging 4hr sleep if lucky. Did you get tinnitus? What kind of natural antibiotics did you take? I was told to take reishi mushroom extract 2 tsp/day, red sage for Lyme's, garlic (I'll take at night to prevent bad breath) or methylene blue. Also chlorella, so took 12 tabs yesterday. The neuro lyme's specialist told me the carnivore diet won't do any good. So yesterday I broke the diet a little including having 12 chlorella tabs. I only slept 1 hr last night, I'm dead tired and no matter if I lay down or stand up, sit up, I'm uncomfortable with high voltage going from my toes to the top of my head, severe depression. Do you think I had a reaction to the chlorella since my body was used to carnivore? Right away I had loose bowel stuff, every time I made a bathroom trip. I'm frustrated to the hilt not getting any better. I also was told I have Epstein Barr, but Dr. Eric Berg says 95% of people have it. Mine has one marker of early antigen, whatever that means. Thanks if you can answer. You sound so similar to me. Such a lonely disease as I lay down most of the time.

Unfortunately, this is not the ideal way to PRE-SOAK nuts and I'd like to add a few corrections. I pre-soak several hundred pounds of nuts weekly for commercial sale for 14 years and would like to share my experience. First, you cannot FERMENT a nut. It does not produce any kind of beneficial bacteria in any amount that would be considered lacto-fermented. It's not the same as fermenting flours, fruits, or vegetables, because the nuts lack the necessary amount of natural sugars. the bacteria would need to produce any lacto-fermentation. The soaking processing reduces the phytic acid content of the nut, initiates the germination process, activates enzymes, and increases nutrient bioavailability. Second, you want to use certified organic nuts otherwise you're still ingesting pesticides and other harmful chemicals, especially from California almonds. Third, almonds grown and commercially sold from California are pasteurized by law since 2007 and have no active enzymes. Buy organic Spanish or Italian almonds. Fourth, use a high-quality, high-mineral salt such as Celtic salt or pink Himalayan. No sea salt or table salt. Fifth, the phytates are IN the soaking water. There is no yeast or bacteria in or on that water. That is nut dust sitting at the top. Do not save or use that water for human purposes. And lastly, drying them at any temperature above 118 degrees Fahrenheit will destroy the activated enzymes and some of the proteins and vitamins. Hope this helps. If you don't want to do it at home I've got you covered. I am endorsed by the Weston A. Price foundation. www.natesrawharvest.com

For night training, we put our girl in training undies and then two layers of pants since it’s cold. So she slept through her accident in the night. When you did night training, would peeing wake them up at night and they learn from that? Or would they sleep through it? If they sleep through it, is that okay? Will they still learn? Thanks again!!
@deputietribe
@deputietribe 3 ай бұрын
We would wake them up around the time we would head to bed and put them on the potty (for us between 11-12). They would pee in the bed so we would cover in plastic or lay a mat of some sort. Eventually they would learn. I don’t know how it happens but it does. Also avoiding liquids close to bed helps a lot.

I started this with my 16mo old this week and it’s amazing how much she’s capable of. I’m wondering when you start putting pants on them? And when you go out, do you put a diaper on them? And I’m concerned it’ll be a while before my girl ever starts letting me know she needs to go. I set a timer to put her on the potty ever 30-45mins.
@deputietribe

Typically after 1-2 weeks I start undies and pants. They need help when they need to go still. This is the stage you teach them to communicate to you they need to go instead of just freely going. Beginning stage is learning bladder control.

Usually we will do undies after a week or so once they get it down sitting on the potty themselves but they can’t really get them down without help. It’s just to teach them to communicate they need help.

You mentioned in the night time training part of this, that eventually your child will get up on his own in the night and use the potty in his room. Do your kids at this age no longer use a crib? Did you transition them at some point to a floor bed and how did you do that? Thanks!
