This is a really great intro video! Pathfinder Society and Starfinder Society are so well-designed and fun to play! They are the real reasons to dive hard into Pathfinder, and I can’t wait until both systems share the same rules!

Necromancers have always been my favorite type of caster fantasy and as cool as a lot of these thrall features are its really disappointing that its almost entirely sacrifice based abilities instead of having a standing force of undead to fight for you. PF2 seems to be super against making it any kind of easy to have undead minions for more than a brief period and I had hoped that an actual necromancer class would be the one to turn that around. Create undead is way too much of a hassle for minions that have to be four levels below you. I understand hordes of the dead can slow down combat and thats not for everyone but it should be up to each table to have that discussion and not have the system itself kill the playstyle.

Necromancer seems like undercooked in terms if Gish potential. Early feats promise you to be good at it, but then you waut for 18 level to make a thrall after a successful strike as basically the only interesting support, while having wizard's weapon progression. Hurts

The scythe looks too heavy for the Necromancer to lift or wield. Maybe she animated some bones surrounding her arm to assist.

As a GM, I am not looking forward to Necromancer BUT I understand why it's so popular and I'm excited to get out of my comfort zone to make my players happy.

I wish Paizo would focus on providing more options for existing classes before publishing brand new classes.

I have been looking forward to the Necromancer since they first started teasing the idea at the beginning of the remaster! We do bones, motherf****r! Loving the suggestion here in the comments that this might be an exploration of the (implausibly long) Cold War in the Impossible lands heating up. Paizo taking the chance to stir up the stagnant parts of their setting is really getting me excited with this whole event!
