The costumes are very 80’s and they had to crank the shoulder pads up to 12 because of the exaggeration needed on stage. I think it was a nice tribute to the movie. I will say I LOVE how Veronica’s costume is a blend of all her outfits from the movie. The patchwork blazer, the Blue Ruffle Skirt, the Bolar hat with a ribbon (she’s not wearing it here) it’s perfect tribute to the fashion and the varying outfits she wears in the movie. Only thing I would say is I wish she was wearing her iconic blue tights. While I love the original OB Cast costumes, as they really did the show justice, and Chandlers outfit was wayyy more appealing in the OB production then the one from the movie, I was always a little disappointed that Veronica stayed in her blue blazer the whole time. Her varying outfits in the movie show here indifference to the heathers as the story progresses, so this production took a cool step with her costuming. Something different is never bad.

Thank you for uploading this! I was on a Deaf West Spring Awakening binge amidst my Austin P. McKenzie binge and watched the whole thing through. I don't know if I would have done it if I had known Austin's part would be cut, but it's good I did because I learned a lot. The songs alone were worth it anyway.
