For me Tracy should never have died and should have had its spin off 1 year after the end of HIMYM. Or we could have gotten her version of the story of how she met Ted and seen cameos from Ted Barney Lily Marshall and Robin from time to time

This show has such an interesting and healthy outlook on love, and I love it. I'm a huge romantic, so getting what Ted and Tracy ended up getting is like the dream. (As well as Marshall and Lily, but I relate more to Ted and Tracy's nerdier sides lol) What's so interesting about this show is that Ted always talk about The One. He believes he has a soulmate somewhere out there that's just waiting for him to find her. But that's exactly it, he tries to find her. Usually the concept of The One means that there's just that perfect partner out there for you, and you're just destined to find them, but Ted actually goes out of his way to find someone. He knew what he wanted from a really early age: a loving romantic relationship and children, so he actively worked towards that goal. He constantly went out and went on dates when he was single, and he'd treat every relationship seriously, as if it was The One, because for all he knew, it could become The One. If it didn't work out, then of course he'd take it from there, but he gave every relationship his all and he really worked for it. That is such a healthy mindset to have, and it's really inspiring. Of course Ted can be stupid as hell as well. Like Jesus, I was yelling at him through my TV screen when he told Robin he loved her right after she got unengaged with Kevin BECAUSE SHE DIDN'T WANT KIDS. DANG IT TED, YOU LITERALLY HAVE A HOUSE PREPARED ALREADY FOR WHEN YOU START A NUCLEAR FAMILY, WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING?!

Initially in the drama I was intrigued and then I became so scared for them. Just wanted them to be safe and together.

I love them so much and I just can't stop watching How I met your Mother I watched it already two times and I feel I want watch it again and again and again cause I really love the characters and the story and everything. The whole cast the characters from the regular to the guest star appearance I love and miss them all terribly I really starting to feel about this series like a family a long went away family that I wish would come back but I don't want ruin the ending so of course if the screen play would be amazing than please but if not better just close the chapter and start a new one but if the original cast would want to come back than okay But if not better not to force the come back better it be natural like when Cobin come back as Robin Scherbatsky in How I Met Your Mother like that unexpected and surprising and natural

It may be very late from me to msg here but this show helped me to overcome one of the darkest phase of my life as I watched it just 2 months back when I lost my job didn't had any savings left with me and Didn't getting any new job offers and on a top of that left with no friends not their problem I got distant from them because I was feeling like a total failure in my life.

I certainly enjoyed the show but they need maybe one more person on girl side . Ted and Barney both wife robin was a bit much . The Best part was Barney’s playbook .

rewatching himym and i have some thoughts. would anyone really have wanted Ted to talk to his kids about their mother in excruciatingly vulgar detail like everyone else he dated? no. he kept it short and respectable about the mother towards the end, plus, they knew her enough already - she was their mother after all. the ending and overall story-telling for 9 seasons was perfectly "classic schmosby" - very true to his character. he wanted to ask his kids an uncomfortable question: "can i start dating Robin again?", and avoids confrontation (ohio-style), so he misleads them by telling them the story of "How I Met Your Mother", beats around the bush (the whole season 9 was the perfect metaphor for beating around the bush), and intentionally extracts the thought out from his kids to get their blessing without being the first to ask. the ending was justified imho :)
