A very deep song. Imagining trying to get together with someone else you briefly glimpse in a paralell reality.

She once got into my taxi in New York in the 80s... I was playing this song on the tape player... She laughed as she climbed in... I said, "Hi Nanci," and drove her to her gig in the Village, I think it was at the Bitter End. She was great. I was so very sad when she died.

Great performance! Anyone knows who's playing til synth brass? Lyle isn't, he seems to be playing piano when it enters after the guitarsolo. And I can't imagine it being on a track...

Todd is the single greatest musical artist. He's a multi-Instrumentalist, he sings, writes all tunes and lyrics and can mix the sound like a sound engineer who's specialty it is. Everything from the initial inspiration for a song he creates, through every aspect of his creative process to the final fulfillment of his vision. And he does it all very well. Todd was doing this from around 69/70. Way ahead of his time.

Going through the hardest time in my life at the moment. Being erroneously judged and getting not an ounce of compassion. The lines here "You'll get no judgement from me, I can only feel compassion and if that's what you need I will give you my compassion" are ripping me apart. Coming from Todd's beautiful, soul touching voice, I imagine he's singing to me. God, I need it. Thank you Todd. ❤

The term "Genius" gets tossed around an awful lot these days. But in the case of Todd Rundgren, it certainly applies.
