I started with a Lee classic loader. I have many of them. Then Lee C frame then a challenger and classic turret. Bought a RCBS rebel most of my dies are Lee. Good that you show people that you dont have to spend a fortune to get started. The hand press can be used anywhere. Good video.

I bought one about 5 yrs ago now...... It has been a great little stand.... I recently had to add another set of z bracket on the bottom for another place to store a new press. I use it for storage of presses these days... 4 presses later and it still holding up great...

tested 24 types of factory ammo through it, average was 2.25 MOA, worst was 5 MOA, best was 1 MOA. Pretty solid battle rifle for the price. Bores are ROUGH when new. As in 10 strokes with a brand new bronze bore brush, and the brush just falls through the bore with gravity. Put her through a few hundred rounds of rough lovin, little bit of JB bore past and bore shine, the bore is good.

Is it accurate? Does the barrel move like that long after the bullet leaves the barrel?? I’ve always imagined the barrel throws the bullet off 😂 but I really want to get this it looks so cool. Accuracy is my main concern

I was very impressed. It been a great go to rifle. Not picky with ammo and very accurate (I've only done 7-100 yds with this rifle). Been using all kinds of range ammo; Winchester, Remington, Federal, Partizan, Fiocchi, PMC, Browning, New Republic; doesn't matter .223 or 5.56 brass ( I don't recall using steel cases).

Seeing you video the Lee hand press just read instructions on it because you need to learn a little bit more on the Lee hand press and the regular presses
@AzoneDefenseLLC2 ай бұрын
Hi, yes I gave no instructions because this wasn't an instructional video but a video to help with selecting a type of press whether a Turret or Hand Press kit, and identifying if a user wanted an additional portable option that the dies will all need to be readjusted if coming off a Turret press or vise versa. As always users will need to read their own instructions to operate any type of equipment.

I too like the idea of decapping and then cleaning before sizing the brass. The Frankford Arsenal Platinum Series Hand DePriming Tool seems to be a decent way of getting this step done. Personally, I got the Lyman Spring Loaded Universal Decapping die and use it on a Buchanan Precision Machine Hand Press (with the Hornady L-N-L quick change die bushing set-up). Works great and is portable, as with the Frankford Arsenal Platinum Series Hand DePriming Tool.

You really should not go around bragging on Lee products as possessing any type of quality, as it makes you seem either very ignorant or totally dishonest! The reason Lee products cost way less is because the quality is far less as well. And on that note - the Lee hand press is an atrocity from one end to the other. A far better hand press would be the Buchanan Precision Machine Hand Press with the Hornady L-N-L Quick Change Die Bushing set-up (see: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rnbTioSDmdOrfrs ) Not to seem hypocritical here, but the only things Lee makes right is their Collet Style Crimp Dies, as they are actually the best crimp dies on the market. Bar none! Plus they make a good Primer Ram Die that works excellently. And that is it, nothing else Lee makes should be bragged on as the rest is basically cheap junk! They do have great ideas but their implementation of such is done poorly, period!

Hello, and thanks for chiming in. I agree that Buchanan is a very nice hand press for $270, I just don't see beginner reloaders spending the extra $200 to get started in reloading but will be a nice upgrade. Lee products are definitely a starter product and in my use have been an outstanding reliable workhorse with great customer service. I'm sure high-end products like Buchanan have their placement amongst seasoned reloaders. Thanks for viewing my video for reloading for beginners.
@thetexasrat3 ай бұрын
@@AzoneDefenseLLC Just so you know I am a beginner reloader myself, and have made 63 rounds so far. You know how it is when one buys quality tools there is not a lot of money left to get bullets. But hey, bullets will be next on the list I am sure. So far II have spent about 5 thousand on equipment and powder, primers and manuals and plan to spend another 2 thousand on equipment before I am done. I have been getting all of this over time. But I do not want to get junk tools and then be stuck with them because I did not want to get quality tools from the start. I have gotten the Buchanan Precision Hand Press, Redding Competition sizing, flaring, and seating dies. I got the Lyman spring loaded universal decapping die, and the Lee factory Collet Style crimp die. Nothing but the best in my opinion. Again why waste money on cheap tools only to have the need to upgrade later on once one gets tired of using junky equipment? I have also gotten many other quality tools and at least 50 different manuals, and another 50 books on the subject. I am not afraid to make ammo whereby putting off doing so by taking time getting quality tools. No I am afraid of making low grade ammo whereby waiting until I can get all the quality tools to do a bang up job Handloading. So did I mention that Lee only makes quality collet style crimps dies? Yep, I sure did. Really why do people that have reloaded with cheap tools and then upgraded recommend for newbies to get stuff that they know full well is just going to be replaced later on? Is that not being wasteful with resources that could have been spent on quality tools in the first place? Anyway if you do not agree that is fine, but hopefully the newbies get what I am saying and save their precious resources for quality items as opposed to wasting them on junk that will need to be updated once they get tired of using very awkward stuff such as the Lee hand press. So again Lee is not a good starter product but rather a cheap product for people that do not care to use quality tools period.

@@thetexasrat Hi, thanks for providing more about your goals and decision on where you stand. You have definitely made the investment for that venture. We do have choices. Some like yourself know exactly what they want and where they want to take it. Others just want to dip their toes in the water and see if it's even something they like. Most beginners who are interested in reloading (that I've come across) are not ready to spend thousands of dollars because they have been told (a large misconception) that reloading will save them money. So if they go to a store and see a hand loader for $270 vs $70 that does the same thing (make a cartridge and punch holes in paper) they will choose every single time a hand loader for $70. Then if they enjoy it, they are done with hand loading and go straight to a turret press or a progressive press system and spend the money accordingly. However, you are the first person I've come across naming a Lee Precision product as junk. I do agree that some parts from other manufacturers are of better machine quality but most manufacturers have their niche and Lee Precision has theirs with attracting and introducing newbies into reloading. However, I've personally found any inconsistencies with making a cartridge vary with the components, consumables, and finally human error and not the machine. Best of luck with your endeavors!
@thetexasrat3 ай бұрын
@@AzoneDefenseLLC Perhaps I shouldn't say junk but rather describe Lee products as very low quality junk instead. But I am definitely not the only one. I will never go to a turret press when the Hornady L-N-L quick change die bushing makes for a far better use of a single stage press, being able to change calibers or stages in a blink of the eye. But I also will never want a progressive press due to the lack of being able to do safety checks with ease upon each stage. Plus I like to deprime before I clean, reclean once I have sized and flared, and measure out each powder charge on a beam scale. All these steps are not user friendly with the progressive system. And did I mention that it is way harder to do safety checks with the progressive presses. I will always run a single stage press with the Hornady L-N-L quick change die bushing set-up for life. I may one day get a bench mounted single stage press, such as with the Bullet Corp Billet Reloading Press 2.0 ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/jmqyon6Yo6eJeaM ). But never a progressive (or a turret).
