You dont need to be a tri athlete to make it. Train accordingly and rest a full week before you ship out. Make sure you can run 3 miles in 24 minutes or less (aim for 21) make sure you can do a 1:30 plank (aim for 2 minutes) and make sure you can do at least 5 pullups palm out from a full dead hang (aim for 8-10) if you are at those numbers before you ship you will be physically ready for what Boot Camp will hit you with. Physically, the mental part will be up to you and how you deal with it (homesick, being told when to shower, when to move, waking up at 4 in the morning etc.) Its what you make of it. If you quit, you will spend an extended period of time in receiving a place called RSP. RSP is where your soul can truly die, so the fastest way out is to graduate.

I write it again and again. Why don't they cut the hair of the female recruits? It's about hygiene. When I see the sweating ladies with their hair hanging in their faces. I don't understand it. They have decided to be soldiers and not sugar dolls

I leave on September 17th. I thought they did the running PT before testing for pushups and situps. I'm guessing it's after? Based on the second half of the video.

Im going to boot camp at July 8th, I’m just scared of failing the physical (exercise) test, I’m not fat or physically unhealthy, but I’m afraid that if I mess up, everything would be for nothing and I’ll be sent back home
@lorenzocortez55133 күн бұрын
Don't be scared bro. The physical test is one of the last things you'll do plus you'll do a practice test at the beginning of bootcamp to see where you are. You'll have plenty of time to get where you need to be. Good luck future sailor.🫡

Do your asvab scores matter when crossing over to another branch ?
@robertocordero97015 күн бұрын
@@ouioui2627 I will be honest I’m not sure but what I got told it depends on the job that you want and they will tell you if u need to retake the ASVAB But tu have accurate information you have to talk to your career counselor and go to a marine corps recruiter offices that’s what I did I got 77 in my ASVAB I’m just waiting for my chain of command to sign my paper and go to Bootcamp

We will treat you with fairness and dignity but yet in other training videos I see them calling recruits names insulting the shit out of them. Name calling is not treating a person with dignity. What a load of BS. Preaching one thing but doing another.
