I've just got back from seeing this with my five year old grand daughter. It's love to know how parents grandparents follow up afterwards. If at all.

Not criticism, just my feedback - and, well, you asked 😉 00:36 Frankly, you answer the question honestly and to the best of your ability/knowledge. If it requires some follow up with dad/partner/male influence (or reverse if those are the circumstances), then invite that follow up in your answer. Never wrong to get a "second opinion". Parents that shy away from, give confusing answers or just send off to someone else could cause the child to feel like maybe they shouldn't have asked (and if they asked *you* it's because of trust and comfort) or that it's one of those things no one talks about yet everyone needs to know so it may not be asked again. *NOT implying that was your scenario! Speaking generally for other viewers* Want him/her to find out the wrong answers from friends, or the internet (just think for a moment about the Search and Results before you assume Wiki-anything is going to be the top answer 😱)? 1:00 I'm the male parent of a daughter. Yes, she went mostly to my wife for questions, which is likely based on comfort but also because they are the best of friends. But no topic was taboo, and when I was asked, or at least in the presence of the the question being asked, I provided my input, and even sometimes clarified that it was the "male perspective". She's grown up safe, responsible, and comfortable talking to us about anything. Thank you for sharing the experience! There is humour and sincerity in it, my comment is not suggesting anything otherwise 😊

It's not always about "meeting needs". I mean, if I'm in the middle of doing some dangerous work, ahh... no. I don't feel like answering the phone to chat about the dog's broken leash. For men, most of the time is about concentrating very hard on a task at hand, fixing a problem, etc. And, chatting about something menial is just not where a man's head is in any given work situation. Is your need to chat so much an insecurity?

Fair point!! Brings it back to operating and thinking differently and having a different way to handle and manage the day! I definitely think some women's insecurity can lead to needing more check ins, and others do it because they just enjoy the connection. Thanks for the comment!
