This is so beautiful! Can I ask how you did the gathers? I am currently trying to make this and I can’t seem to get the ‘puff/volume’ of the gathers, and it’s driving me nuts! Any tips? Thanks :)

I think you did a fantastic job. I think it first you was just thinking too much. I wanted to grab you and shake you and tell you stop thinking so much. But it’s your wedding gown. I know how you felt because I felt the same way. I went over and over it. Congratulations for making your wedding gown and congratulations on your marriage. My husband and I were married for 47 years. He passed away a little over 2 1/2 years ago. I miss him so much. Marriage is hard, it’s work but what you need to do. Both of you, is the love that you feel for each other right now hold onto that don’t ever let each other go and don’t take each other for granite. I hope and wish the best for you and your husband just start thinking about a family of your own. God bless you both. 🙏🌹🥰🐾🌹🙏

I made my wedding gown. Years and years ago. My mother was really great at sewing and I learned to sew from her. But the only thing I don’t like is, Store bought patterns. I don’t understand them. I make my own pattern. Take measurements and go from there. 🥰🐾

Hi Sharon, made this skirt over the weekend and wearing it to work today. The tutorial was great and everything was clear, i made it almost exactly as you made it :) I am enjoying the look of the skirt while standing up, but today is windy where i am and there is a bit of a front panel flying up issue :( also when i sit down, the front panels are moving aside and exposing my thighs too much. Any solution for this, any modifications on the pattern that can help improve on this problem?

I’m six months from the wedding and almost every night I dread having nightmares about it and I have to clear my thoughts cause the wedding nightmares are too real !

Hey, anyone, I’m thinking of using organza for my corset underneath my wedding dress but I also kind of want to use something not completely see through so then I thought I might use Crepe De Chine because I like the look and feel. Will it still work well for a corset?

"I usually just freehand my sleeve pattern" bam, she cuts a perfect sleeve in 3 seconds when it takes me 30mins of tracing and measuring 😅
@katiei94383 ай бұрын
Hi! Hoping to make this soon. Couple questions - it looks like when you measure the back panel, you just do side hip, around the bum, to side hip. But when you measure for the two front panels, you measure all the way around the hips - Is that right, and why is that? I'm used to patterns that give you some kind of formula, like 1.5 x waist measurement / 2... etc.
