During my junior year of high school I was invited to make the trip to see Alvin Lee and Ten Years After perform in concert.....I never forgot that evening and the performance he gave to the audience. He was beyond gifted and how the Rock and Roll Hall of fame has failed to induct him is beyond comprehension.....especially when you consider some of the lesser talent that have already made entry. The next question is where is Big Red his renowned guitar?

You all look like little children The best ever , most underrated ever , So stupid , he isn't of course . There were around 1000 great guitarists through history of rock and even that number is just that; a number. How to compare Clapton ,with Gary Moore Or Santana with Jimi .Hendrix Roy Buchanan with Alvin Lee in being underrated So stop those stupid remarks and say that The old grey Whistle Test shows fantastic 60's and 70's British bands .Thank you for posting them .

because it is the raw reality which reminds you of this song. So many things changed since 1972 but we are still clueless and helpless when it comes to making decisions about what can and what should be done.

In 1871, an Englishman by the last name “Lee” travelled to the American West, boarding the train “Cheyenne Express” to begin his 32-day excursion to observe and document the culture- its sights, sounds. Even aromas, tactile impressions, etc. To observe both wildlife and the transforming nature such an environment might have on Western European man. While on another train to San Francisco, he happened to be joined in company a man by the name of Joe. Joe McNeely-Morgan. Morgan recounted a recent incident wherein he had returned to his home after riding in a sheriff’s posse on the hunt for wanted train robbers; having done his duty by single-handedly dragging down three of the “Sutton-Pope” gang, and looking forward to the therapeutic and healing ways of his new bride Cassandra Jane, only to be met with the shock of seeing her half-naked in the arms of Dusty Jack- the much-wanted robber-murderer of the Dempsey Gang. Lee inquired where Morgan might be headed to now and what he had done…. Lee prayed the Lord would send him sometime in the future with his own Winchester 30/30 being replaced with a Gibson so he could recount to a future generation the agony of the man done wrong, as Joe requested. Lee fulfilled his request. This is his tale. Joe’s tale. As for Dusty Jack, some say his body was never found, and that Cassandra Jane’s rose-cinnamon perfume’s scent lingers in the air every April 16 at the site of the old house where Joe shot…. he shot her down. Some say, too, that her spirit also wanders time, and is now known as Stevie….. and Joe? His story lives on and on, repeated wherever the trust between man and woman dies a tragic death. And now, when the night is cold and the wind whishes through the dark fingers of tall old oaks, you can hear Joe cocking his pistol near the beds of those about to cheat their lover, and who will be next to be shot down, That’s just what some say…..
