Hi! Is the isopropyl alcohol 99% diluted somehow and if so with what and in what proportions?! I have a problem with the paper..I can't find the right paper I think..I think colors will come out on the back from 99% isopropyl alcohol. Can you help me with an advice please.. I used both photo paper and yupo paper and on both the colors can be seen on the back.. What photo paper should I use to avoid this happening again?!😊

Thanks for sharing. I wanted to have a go at Kirigami using my Cricut and this was a great intro. It also gave me a clue about an issue I've been having with alignment of score marks on another project.

Hello! I have a question Is every day iron on The same as vinyl iron on ? I’m new to all this Thank you n advance
@spiritexpressions8777

Hi! Everyday iron on is just what Cricut calls their normal heat transfer vinyl, so yes, it's vinyl iron on :) It can also be called HTV (for heat transfer vinyl). If you have a Cricut, generally other brands will cut perfectly with the everyday iron on setting. You can do a test cut by cutting a small simple shape like a triangle to make sure it cuts through the vinyl without cutting through the carrier sheet.

Ranger is over rated and more expensive than it needs to be. Personally, 91% alcohol is best for what I do. Ranger also messed up Ice Resin, which used to be awesome. Now? Meh.

Hi this video was a long time ago. My problem is that my Maker doesn’t show up in devices to add via Bluetooth. My Bluetooth functions with all other devices and my laptop is relatively new. Tried using the special connection dongle goodie, but nothing seems to work. I’ve had my Maker since January this year. Currently connect via usb which is frustrating having a long cord between laptop and Maker. I would appreciate any advise. Thank you

Very beautiful card but I suggest you explain it a little slower and show your step by step in Design Space in more depth, so that people can follow along easily. This is not an easy tutorial to follow. Thanks for showing your nice design though.

This was great! I know I'm super late to this video and I have a probably really dumb question...I can't afford yupo, but had heard about the Kirkland photo paper and have some so was super excited to try...so I just dropped a couple random colors, worked great...EXCEPT...the front sticky side was down laying on my silicone and realized part of it was completely stuck down to the silicone :( bits stuck enough that I'm not sure how to remove it. Obviously I totally did something wrong, just not sure what!! I could've had some alcohol go off the side so maybe went under (I'm new to this medium, clearly😳) I was using a hair dryer but tried to keep hold of the cool shot button but know I didn't have it cool constantly. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I realize I'm just so dumb....so embarrassing. But I have a good bit of this paper and really want to use it for this, but in the right way :) Thank you so much!!!

Hi, when this vid was created, design space was browser based only. Now it's app based, but the Bluetooth setup is the same. DS can be downloaded at design.cricut.com/

Does it matter if your ceramic tile is finished or unfinished before you begin your painting?

To be fair, I've only worked with inexpensive smooth glazed tiles, but I believe that with an unglazed tile, the alcohol and ink would be too quickly absorbed to create this kind of design, or the swirly designs that alcohol ink is known for. Also, you wouldn't be able to easily remove and redo if you weren't happy with the results. Having said that, you might be able to get some really cool designs with unglazed tiles... Maybe saturated with solution, or pre-blended/diluted to counteract the quick absorb. Also, the pearls react a little differently than the regular alcohol ink, so there's another level of unknown thrown in. That was a really long answer to say, I don't think unglazed would work, but I'm intrigued.

I love how the pearls sort of pushed away but didn't completely mix in the original inks. And depending on the height of which you drop the pearls, the 'splats' take on a new dimension. TFS
