I chose the YesWelder brand torch in a 10' since the original was only 7'. It sure cured the problem of the leaking gas into the shield that kept the cloaking gas from getting to the torch end.

How do you charge the 18650 battery that you put in your Skill screwdriver? I have one that I'd love fix. It's a high quality tool, except it's like everything else I've ever owned that has a rechargeable battery. It's the reason I'm not interested in an EV.
@MaxsGarajMahal9 күн бұрын
Very simple actually. I use an multi chemical charger originally known as a RC computerized charger that will charge every battery known to man. So, I cut the 110v plug off the original Skill screwdriver charger. When you install the 18650, make sure you connect the positive to the side that is positive on the RC charger board and it will just drop back into the Skill charge base. Simple and quick.

@@MaxsGarajMahal Success! My screwdriver has new life thanks to your incedental tip! For charging I'm using a cheap single cell LI charger from Alibaba. I opened it up and soldered a couple of wires to the circuit board. I soldered the other ends of the wires to terminals inside the Skill charger base. My only concern is how prevent over discharging the battery. But I'll cross that bridge when I get there. Thanks so much for the tip!

YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY INCORRECT. If the mower pulls to the left, then it means the right wheel is turning faster than the left wheel. In this case, you will need to do the adjustments to the left wheel, not the right wheel, to increase the speed.

@MaxsGarajMahal11 күн бұрын
Sorry to hear that. If it weren't for assuming the liability for your property, you could send it to me and I'll make it work as it can't fail as long as you have two contactors passing ac current through them. Make sure you have both contactors long enough to press tightly via the bi-metal arms inside the switch. It will work. Since you gave up before you made it work, try again and give the contactors some length. They can be extended far enough that when you back off the switch all the way it only has to break the contact a few thousandths. Let's say approximately .010 to .015 should be plenty to break the current traveling through the points. Now, get with it and report back once you have your machine back in service.

This is a great video! I searched the internet for a long time and much of the info on the tip over switch is about the push button type, not the swinging weight like you show here. Finally this showed me just what I needed to know! The weight is connected to the thermostat with plastic, and mine melted right off! So I figure my options are to bypass the tip over protection, or to find a replacement thermostat with a tip over switch, which I only found in one place and it cost more than a new heater. Any idea where that thermostat with tip over switch can be found cheaply? Also just to be clear, from about 9:45 to 12:30 using the metal strip, you were showing us for entertainment purposes only how to add metal between the points so there is always contact? Assuming I can't find the replacement part, that looks like my solution. BTW I agree, run your electric heater when you are in the room with it!
@3rdwrldkidАй бұрын
Do these type of heaters use more electricity than a newer cheap Walmart heater?????
@MaxsGarajMahalАй бұрын
No, they are the exact same elements in the Milk House Heaters. There are some heaters on the market today with fan blades that aren't formed with the same degree of angle (pitch) that uses less energy to drive the blades. However, with less angle (pitch) you also get less heat delivery into the room. It also makes more noise with zero value to the consumer. I just bought 5 of them this season to test for energy draw as well as heat delivery over the same area both in a horizontal and vertical or cubic zone. Last two have less delivery than the first 3. Same brand, model number, same seller. So far, I don't foresee their value as a room heater. I do intend doing some videos showing their volumetric value with the standard blade, then if possible, borrowing a blade off one of the oldest heaters in the GarajMahal to show the improvement. Also, same heater, changing the original blade to match the borrowed blade pitch. Bear with me as I just started chemo and Keytruda so I'm a bit wobbly trying to get accustomed to the medications.

All electric heaters are 100% efficient. 1 kW = 3412.142 BTU/hr. It's impossible for any of them to be any more or any less. Anyone telling you different is lying to you. Even if you used ten 100 watt incandescent light bulbs, it would put out 3412.142 BTU/hr. That 500 dollar Eden Pure or Magic Amish thing is no more efficient than a 25 dollar Patton Milkhouse heater

Actually the pin in my heater is missing and it stays on all the time so wouldn't this mean that the contacts are actually cutting the thermostat off instead of turning on when they're touching without the pin the only way mine will cut off is if you lay it down
@MaxsGarajMahal2 ай бұрын
Marla, if your contactor is missing, you're having to turn your know further (override the bi-metal spring arms) to make contact thus causing electrical current to pass through both arms to make your fan and heating element to work. If you make a contactor, place it on the bimetal arm that is missing the contactor, it will begin working properly once again unless the bimetal spring arm is burned up and lost either the cold or hot side of the bi metal. Not likely, but you can still make it work of your own volition 'for testing purposes only'. Please read through the comments below to the end to get an idea how many people have had success in doing my method of 'testing purposes only' system. Keep me informed, send a bunch of photos of your heater, the brand, model and the thermoswitch type you have and I'll do my best to find a resolution for your problems.

Where is a good place to purchase a new one? I used copper wire to make the connection but didn't leave enough room for it to separate and turn off. In my mistake it got to hot. @MaxsGarajMahal2 ай бұрын
Sad thing is, there is no place to actually purchase the momentum thermostat switches. There is a thermostat switch that requires another switch be involved that turns off the heating element in the event of being turned over. I have a video I've tried to work on however my lung treatments, kidney cancer, heart failure and now lung failure just hasn't given me the get up and go to get it shot. The biggest problem with this replacement thermoswitch is no knob to fit it and it requires a pair of holes be drilled to mount it along with finding a pair of screws to mount it. I found the thermoswitches on Amazon, however purchasing 4 of them, only 2 worked so I haven't given a link to them as I don't feel it prudent to give bad information from my channel and the GarajMahal. I am now working on adding a thermo fuse instead of the thermoswitch, a thermastat from a dryer. Also have a thermostat that mounts on a wall to turn on and off the heater at a certain temperature. If the health will allow, I hope to have several types of resolutions for our room heaters that anyone can follow and purchase the items over the counter. For now, I'd redo the points, rewire any overheated wires and put it back into service if it were me, I'm not telling you to.

I watched your video because of a Pelonis HB-301 kept running regardless of what setting the thermostat was set to. I did the filing, eyeballing it as best I could. It worked to the degree that I could turn the knob about halfway and it would come on, but now it clicks several times as if it wants to come on and eventually it does. I know you said how sensitive the filing and adjusting is, but could you give me some insight into this? Thank you.

I will do my best. The contacters are two flat protrusions from the contact arms. They are hard materials that needs as much contact point as possible to carry the highest degree of electricity across them both. So, the idea is to make sure they sit flatly and level to each other. Shoot some pics of the switch on the machine, send them to my name and add @gmail to get them to me to see the type of switch and points you may have on this machine.

Ive got damn near a brand new hustler raptor xd with the fr651 in it and i cant for the life of me get it to start... Cranks and cranks but no fire ever had that problem with it?
@MaxsGarajMahal2 ай бұрын
There are a few reasons it that will keep it from starting. First you must check for fire at the spark plugs. 1. You can do this by placing the spark plug against the engine while spinning it over to see if it fires each plug. 2. Check to see if it has fuel being pulled to the carb via the vacuum - pulse fuel pump. After you have spun it over a few rounds check to see if there is fuel in the carb. bowl. If the vacuum hose is cracked or split, it will not pull vacuum on the fuel tank. You can place a clear fuel hose in the system to see if the fuel is flowing if you don't find any fuel in the carb. bowl. in the previous bowl check 3. If you have fuel in the bowl, check to see if the fuel hose pick up filter is on the bottom of the fuel tank. That fuel filter can possibly be off or stopped up. 4. Remove the tins on the engine, check to see if the gap between the flywheel magnet and coils are correct. Start there. By the way, you can check the wire from the starter solenoid to the rectifier which Kawi rectifiers do go bad.

Kinda just accidentally found this video/channel.. Dunno. Seemed very annoying. As if the trigger would not even been pulled enough to release the internal hammer for it to fire the valve. As if just being pulled the first stage, to feed several BBs into the barrel, without firing out any of them.. I've got a few models with this kind of a magazine. Has all worked well. And the gas effiency on these are good imo. If want a model with this kind of magazine, but with a short trigger; then the ASG US-C 1911 is a good choice. It's "added safety" though is a heavy trigger spring, giving the pistol a bit heavy trigger (for a 1911).

Once I'm out and feeling better and strong enough to tackle the trigger group, I'm going to see if I can develop a single stage trigger arrangement as well as making the pull adjustable. At least if nothing else, I'm going to find out why in the dickens this seriously bad design works much less than it actually works right out of the box. There will be something that is causing the necessity for trigger pull length that can be corrected. I'll find out. Thanks for watching.

I'm sorry to hear that brother. I finally got the second one to work. It wasn't what Umarex USA suggested as the entire problem and that was the co2 cartridges made by anyone other than Umarex will not allow enough gas to put a bb downrange let alone blow back the slide. I will make another video showing it work and you'll find it works fine with the Crosman co2 cartridges and Daisy Premium bbs. I got it to work and shot about 50bbs out of it and it does shoot hard and accurately. Surprising. I bought 40 dollars worth of Umarex gas but I've never used one before I made the gun work with the Crosman co2 and the Daisy premium bbs. If it continues to work, I'm going to do a trigger job in order to pull it through to make it even more easily operated and accurate due to putting the trigger pull anticipation as well as high effort to pull through. Problem was in the trigger. Had to over travel it to make the trigger open the gas valve or whatever it is called. Run by and take it for a trip around the block. It is fairly likable. Thanks for watching, Max Hughes.
