Was there a reason why you sold the 520R and went into an older Ranger model?

I sold the 2023 so I can jump into a new model. My 2025 is coming soon.

Jeffery, great video. When you’re slowly going over the points to determine where you see bait or fish, what type of sonar do you use? Are you using side scan or what what? Thanks
@JeffreyDavisFishing21 күн бұрын
I use down scan to see the bait and side scan to look for the structure. I’ll then put the trolling motor down and look at the bait and fish with my forward facing sonar.
@donnieshelton59121 күн бұрын
@ thanks Jeffery. I’m learning FFS and wondering if you suggest the Hummingbird 360 too ?
@JeffreyDavisFishing21 күн бұрын
No. Scout mode or perspective mode gives you the same information except it’s live data. Mega 360 is good and the image is better but having real live data right in front of you is so much better.

@@JeffreyDavisFishing too funny. He lost two nice fish on the James. Probably cost him a top 10 unfortunately. Glad to see you got the boat started. Had that happen to me and had to leave the NOCO on for several seconds before it would turn over the motor.

Imma give it to you. To be as much of a scoper as you are and doing pretty good without it, I’m very impressed. I’m sure the scope would have helped you in a bunch of tournaments though but good to catching without it! 💪

I really appreciate that. I’ve been without it the entire year and I’ve caught more fish this year than ever staying shallow. Thanks for watching. 👍🏻

@JeffreyDavisFishingАй бұрын
Yeah man! I have major buyers remorse on this scale. However, it does have the ability to receive firmware/software updates so in theory they could provide an update to fix the issues with the scale.

Can walk out my back door and be on the bank of falls in <5 and on the water with the boat in 10… Underrated and prolly not the most traditional, but it’s a great bass & crappy lake. So glad I found the channel… It’s been my home lake for 40+ years, but still so much left to learn!

I went with the Enjoybot 36v 100ah single battery and it’s been awesome so far👍
@JerseycatsFishing5 ай бұрын
However after lots of research the warranties on the enjoybot batteries seem to be about as useless as the paper itself printed on. Lots of guys have had issues getting in touch with the company for warranty issues. This is common amongst most Chinese lithium batteries. They make these outlandish warranty guarantees because they never intend on honoring the warranty no matter how long it’s been. If you do your digging you’ll find that enjoybot, li-time, chins and many more are made in the same plant for the different sellers of whose name is on the case. They do seem to vary in quality on the inside which is probably an agreed upon thing between the manufacturer and the seller of how much the production costs are going to be based upon hardwares and what features the batteries will have. I went down a very interesting rabbit hole when researching these Chinese lithiums and the varying qualities available at what price points. I just could t justify spending big coin on American brand lithiums that were just assembled Chinese parts in an American facility.
@JeffreyDavisFishing5 ай бұрын
Thanks for the info. I can’t speak on the warranty because I haven’t had to use it and I hope I never do lol. Glad to hear yours is doing great just like mine though. 👍🏻 keep me posted and hope you’re catching them. 😃
