Kids, like everyone else were a lot stronger back then. Today this movie would be a hard R for the drowning horse, alone. The divisiveness of it would get played up for clicks. In fact, it probably wouldn't be released because someone would be offended by it.

I was born in 83. I’ll never forget the first time I saw this. I was 5, my father just died, and my mom bought me this and The Land Before Time to try and cheer me up….A for effort Mom…A for effort😔

Of course, it's a kids' movie, back from when we taught kids about loss and what it's like to deal with real issues that will happen in life. Now it's about being offended that Artax died. Plus, once The Nothing was conquered, everything wemt back to BETTER than it was, including Artax being alive.

I'll suggest "Arrow Of Love" It's one of their occasional storytelling videos in which the band doesn't appear or just in small cameos (not in that one though). KZbinr/ streamer Kalle Koschinsky plays the main character, lipsyncing to both, Nico's cleans and Kevin's harsh vocals. He was the leader of the dance crew at the end of Hypa Hypa.

Can you checkout Band Maid ‘Puzzle’ official live mv please? Band Maid is an all female Japanese rock band that dresses up as cafe maids and shreds!🍺😆 These ladies are definitely no joke and play harder than most of the guys. and people wonder why Gen X are the way we are
@ZombifiedWatermelon4 күн бұрын
Gen X was taught from childhood that nothing good came without pain and sacrifice, and that not everyone always made it to the happy ending. It's only through adversity, emotional or otherwise, that we become strong.

There is a newer video of her pop version of this song.
@Pyanfar5 күн бұрын
The pop version was released the very day that I was at her concert this past September 20th in Glendale, California. She sang that version for the first time publicly at the concert. There are several music videos of both the pop and jazz versions of this song. Actually there is only one video of the jazz version. They are awesome of course. The wave in her voice is called vibrato and yes she can change it or turn it off at will. The studio versions are there for the listening. They co-wrote this song. Pick anything, she doesn't do poor performances.

❤️❤️❤️❤️👣 I was at the concert before this one in September where she introduced us to the pop version of her new original Bad Valentine. She was magnificent.

LOL at all the people bitching at how soft people are today. We had no help with our trauma, we had no supervision, we had to deal and move on because we had to raise our siblings and do our chores. That isn't "toughness" it's unresolved trauma and emotional issues. Don't pretend you're better than young people today just because you haven't yet processed the shit you experienced.

@GarrettJayChristian6 күн бұрын
I actually think media can be a good place for kids to sandbox dealing with difficult emotions like grief and fear; they'll consciously and subconsciously look to their parents to model and inquire how to process, so it's an opportunity not to "throw them in the deep end," but to lead them through and show them how to sit with it. In any case, you don't want their first experience to be when grandma dies.

As A Gen X Guy. This movie broke every single one of us when Artax died. Kids back then learned about death very quickly. All this movie did was build US differently. WHY WE are built different?? Due to movies that didn't sugarcoat like they do now. Girl or BOY. IF you are a Gen X you seen this movie growing up. An Yes, this is a Kids movie. One of my favorite movies still to this day.
@hydro6en3176 күн бұрын
I'm Native American. I grew up in a dormitory with other Native kids, & we were shown this movie. No one cried. Everyone was screaming at the boy that he was stupid. Some kids even said he should've known better than to lead his horse through a swamp. It got worse as the boy kept screaming. 😂😂

A classic kids movie - Kids were a lot tougher and able to process things more intelligently during the 70's and 80's. Watership Down is another great example of that.

Life wasn't sugarcoated for kids back then. Now it's sugarcoated for everyone. Grown people today say "unalived." That's where we're at now.
@jbrock81296 күн бұрын
Nobody don’t say that to sugarcoat it-we’ve been forced to alter what we say because certain words are banned on YT and social media. People just don’t want their videos/posts to be deleted and their accounts shut down.

Lets watch All Dogs Go to Heaven next. Then The Land Before Time. Of course then you follow it up with The Secret of Nihm. With the desert of Bambi. I still own them all. It made understanding the harshness of life easier, but it power levels you straight out of childhood

This is why you don't play games with Gen X. They were murdering our favorite characters right in front of us on purpose with the intention to traumatize us because they thought it was entertainment. Now, if you want the real essence of Gen X, go watch Fuzz Bucket, The Dark Crystal, and Gremlins, a Christmas movie were you learn the true meaning of the season. Your dad is santa, he's dead and Satan's minions are real.

I love how the "young Kids" of yesteryear were no where near as effected with this scene then, as the "adult Kids" of now are having breakdowns over it. Can you imagine the breakdowns they would have over Bugs Bunny smacking Daffy Duck around, Or Elmer Fud hunting. The world would end at a showing of The Road Runner.
