This company isn’t afraid of itself or its leap into a future, unlike Stellantis, which manages to shoot itself in its foot. I’ve owned three CR-V’s: a 2018 Sport Touring, a 2023 EX L, and now a 2024 Sport Touring Hybrid. Now, if I weren’t happy customers, would I have spent in excess of $ 127,000.00? I don’t think so. Every year brings new experiences and an appreciation for Honda’s lack of corporate fear that its line is going to be a bust. This new 2026 CR-V Sport Touring Hybrid incorporates its business model with art and automotive science. Unfortunately, its American competitors are in the doldrums, content to dawdle along with safe and dull models, bound to mechanically fail after a brief period. And let’s forget it’s foreign competition. A cookie-cutter output bound to be as dull as watching paint dry on a park bench. I’m sold on this new model even before its arrival in dealer showrooms in spring, 2026. Hybrid technology is only going to improve, eventually muscling out ICE vehicles. And as for EV’s, Honda’s Prologue has already outsold its competitors. So, what’s the takeaway from this commentary: Honda’s 2026 CR-V Sport Touring Hybrid is perfect. Jim
