Great to see you both back on the bank again, and what a great session it turned out to be. I really love the drone footage but I feel, if I got one, I'd spend all day flying the drone instead of fishing 😂

Firstly, we apologise for the video quality in the opening scene of the video. This seems to be down to YT compression. After re-rendering and uploading 3 times, that small portion didn't improve. Secondly - In the video, John stated that it's been proven that there's only one species of SMOOTH HOUND! That was incorrect. His confusion stems from the decision made by the British Rod Caught Fish Committee in 2023 to amalgamate the two separate record listings for Common Smooth Hound and Starry Smooth Hound into a single listing for SMOOTH HOUND. This was probably due to the difficulty in accurate identification which cannot be achieved without using invasive methods, and this is obviously not acceptable. The Starry is the most prevalent in UK waters but the tell tale spots range from being very prominent to non-existent. Those without spots are therefore liable to be misidentified as Commons.

It's been a while, Kevin. I'm sat here recovering from a bad bout of man flu and watching fishing videos and stumbled across your new channel. I'm immediately enjoying the format, quality, its good to the relaxed style and mixing up the styles of fishing. Good luck as you get into it further. I'll share you channel as I know others will enjoy it. Btw, I was down at Corton a few weeks back, trying my hand beach fishing with a more experienced lad from Yarmouth. We had lots of pouting. It would be good to meet up and learn some stuff and enjoy some cheerful banter as we did on Cheryl's weekender a few years back. Tight lines both.
