Thanks for this video. I just had my first daughter in January. What comb was that? I don’t like the combs I got at my baby shower that comes in the kits I feel like it pulls her hair. Could you recommend or link a goods comb please?
@JoifullyNatural
@JoifullyNatural 2 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching, and congratulations!! 🎉 The pink one I was using was from a baby kit, but it wasn’t the flimsy one that comes in most kits- I know what you mean. 😬 I recommend getting a styling comb for now. As her hair grows, adding a rat tail and tangle teaser would also be beneficial. Any beauty supply store, Sally’s, Walmart will have styling combs.

Thank you. No- I don’t notice dryness, but I did notice they were hard to remove if I leave them in too long (longer than a day). I normally use the old school rubber bands and just add the fuzzy ones for decoration. I remove them as soon as we get home.

@@JoifullyNatural thank you! I just realized I was using the cheaper version of the ones you were using. The ones I was using not only left my baby girls hair dry,but also little lint balls all through her hair from the hair tie shedding. 😩 I probably just need to upgrade the quality of the hair ties!

I’m thinking about doing keratin treatments but I’m apprehensive because 1. It requires at least 450° of heat with several passes and I’m worried about potential heat damage 2. Very concerned about formaldehyde the the health risks associated & 3. I don’t want to have to deal with transition hair because that line of demarcation causes tangles more stubborn than natural hair alone 😩
@JoifullyNatural
@JoifullyNatural 7 ай бұрын
Valid concerns… you should do what you’re comfortable with. I’ve used 3 brands, and I made sure neither had formaldehyde in the ingredients. I use 410 degrees (the same temperature I used before keratin), and I do 3 passes (1 more than I use without keratin), and I don’t have a line of demarcation. After about 5 months, my entire head of hair is frizzy again. 🥴

Crisco worked on my daughter's 3c hair, but her hair cannot stand coconut oil. It sits on top of it and it smells after a day and a half, tops. Also, not good for dandruff or any type of fungal issue it will feed the dandruff. I tried a bit of crisco on her bangs to test and it kind of worked! Letting it air dry now. I thought of it off the top of my hair, but I KZbind it and found your video! I haven't finished it, but I want to say this might be a GAME CHANGER for those of us that have a $0.00 budget for curl care in a world where a jar is way to expensive and eco keeps drying out her curls and I am not using any gels on her hair anymore.
