What's weird, is that your brain adjusts to the movie as you watch it. If you watch a scene, or begin the movie, you notice the strange animations, but you slowly adapt and it feels normal when you get lost in the plot. You become like them as you get adjusted to their world and you want to see more weirdness as a result; it shows addiction in it's later state when your brain adjusts and you can't get high anymore, and you don't even notice.

Anybody who has ever been a heavy user of hard drugs like heroin or fentanyl or meth or coke or pills etc etc (who has probably also done psychedelics & obviously lots of cannabis) and hung out with other people who do the same kind of drugs, while living in the suburbs of southern California (like Anaheim where this takes place) in the mid-to-late 2000s & the 2010s & 2020s can absolutely identify with this movie especially the scenes like this one. I square that I've seen/heard/participated in conversations exactly like this one where someone bought a probably stolen bike for super cheap only to find out the bike wasnt the kind of bike they were told it was until getting back home and someone pointed it out to them. Like goddamn this scene is just like a snapshot of my life, lololol! XD

The funniest part is how after Woody slips off the wheel onto the couch, RDJ dives to squeeze the brakes on the bike….as if it might hurt someone if action isn’t taken quickly.
