You know what dude, was planning on doin this as I'm going there late sept/early oct. Not gonna anymore, Idk what happened..I mean I've never been good with heights, but now that I'm 33, i FKN HATE them. love the view n all of course but man. So I gotta skip out..now I'm looking at there is other dank trails where I can do the jungle aspects and all..thats all I wanted out of this..granted need to do a boat tour to see around this thing. But, I was wondering if you know whats the next best trail to do? Whats the Nu'alolo Trail? And need to know if I need permits right away for any recommendation u give(if u know any). THANKS!

Apologize, but I don't really know Kauai trails. I know back when I did this hike I also wanted to go back to do Hanakapiai Falls. It begins from the first two miles of this trail then heads toward the mountain (about two more miles) to a waterfall. I believe it's about 8 miles round trip. I don't think you need a permit for this hike. Hope you find an epic hike! Be safe and have FUN!

When i was at K bay and short one of the other short guys (short time left on enlistment, too short to deploy) got sent to work at the Base Marina. Another got sent to the Base Scuba Locker (Special Services, for Rec diving). If it was flat we would take out free ski boats and water ski. If it was choppy we would get free scuba tanks (we had our own everything else) and grab a Center console Whaler and go outside and dive for Lobster and spearfish. and collect Cowries. If the Surf was up it was off to Pyramid Rock. We used to party at night on the back side of Chinaman's Hat. We left it spotless. Good times. 81-84

Beautiful! Did you go early May? Enjoyed the cruise ship? Enough time at each port? Thank you!
@hope4surf4 ай бұрын
Thanks! We were in Juneau on May 7th from 2:30pm to 11:00pm & in Skagway on May 8th from 7:00am to 8:15pm. For us it was more than enough time. This was our first cruise. We enjoyed the NCL Encore a lot. Only downside (not anyone's fault) was initial rough seas and rainy weather...but overall a good experience. If we were to cruise again, would probably be with other couples/friends rather than just the two of us. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching!
@icedteamama1764 ай бұрын
@@hope4surf thanks so much for the quick response! Did you visit Glacier Bay and Ketchikan? Love seeing snow from the train! I cruised many times but never an Alaskan cruise. Plan to book Encore for late May next year (RT Seattle). Was trying to decide between Encore and Royal’s Quantum of the Seas. Quantum doesn’t stop at Glacier Bay though and I heard that’s a “must”. Yes, always more fun with a group of friends! We’ll have 3 to 4 cabins (hopefully). 😊

www.alltrails.com/trail/hawaii/oahu/kalauao-falls-loop-trail?u=i For me, this is a pretty challenging hike. It's very steep getting down to the river and coming back up. Start early in the day, take your time and be careful!

your blade angle is bent back it looks like, when it should be bent forward as you pull on the water...it seems counterintuitive I know, but it sure looks in the video like the blade is bent back as you pull on the water...just saying

I've hiked up Angel's Landing in Zion, but I'm not sure I could do this. At least at Angel's Landing there were chains to hold onto.
@hope4surf Жыл бұрын
Angel's Landing looks like a cool hike...hopefully one day! This section is not as bad as it looks. The GoPro's "fisheye" effect makes it look a lot worse than it actually is. If you watch the second half of the video, you get a more realistic view of the trail. Thanks for watching! 🤙
