I’m a white man who lives in an area with a population of around 86 thousand that is 99% white, there has always been an element of Chinese and Italian here over the years mostly with shops, it’s all very settled and you can walk anywhere at any time without fear of being accosted, there is always a chance of that though in a deprived area like mine, in the last few years our woke labour council has been trying to “diversify “ the area, we don’t want this, do you think we should be forced to be multiethnic or should our wishes be taken into account, we just want a settled stable life without any hassle.

An articulate man, my only point of contention, the whole voting question, it’s irrelevant to the black community, as a whole. There are no specific calling points that call out to any black community, within British society, so there’s really no reason to vote. All we need to do is focus on our own individual black communities, i as a Ghanaian work on my people, you as a Jamaican do the same, etc, etc and then just on that basis, british black people will rise and have greater stock in the uk. These politicians can do nothing for us, as it stands.

If we all pull ourselves by our ethnic ties, it will automatically raise the bar and standing for the wider net of blackness within the uk. We then may be able to look one another face to face, recognise each other’s accomplishments, shake hands and see that we need to pool it together.

@@doatbm that's only relevant if you look through a lens of division, if you look on the whole subject rather than just the "minority" section you'll see this applies to everyone. For example, Southgate, Kane and others have got terrible abuse in this tournament, and that disappears when performance improves. I will grant you that they don't get race related abuse, but the people who are racist online or in the real world are the true minority, society doesn't accept racism. However any other abuse, performance related or not, is seemingly perfectly acceptable.
