Hi Kelly.... I struggle on and off with the sugar to, I learned that if I cut it out for 3 days which includes bread and pastas. After that 3 days that cravings completely go away! I don't really label how I do it with any particular diet or anything but it fits into keto ball park maybe lil Mediterranean to. I did some research on insulin resistance and intermittent fasting and learned by experience how amazing it is.... I felt sooo much better just after the 3 days of stopping sugar the first time I did it. Unfortunately It's on and off for me ,I struggle with few things my kitchen being one of them along with disability. Food prep ahead is best for me, as d when I don't I usually goof up. I keep it simple , I Stop with all food and drink with calories at a certain time In evening and in morning I wait , I go fro 12 hrs 14, sometimes lil more. If you go longer it's important to start slow and with longer keep electrolytes in check with a drink or mixture for this. Your inspiring me by talking of this, for I just went on a horrible binge which I have not done in a long time since i cleaned my diet up a couple years ago. But it's time again.. I fell off and I'm feeling it. I will to ( because I know how my body works with craving) cut fruit out for the 3 days as well, as I starve off the sugar. Some don't have to , and I didn't with lil fall offs but I have opened the door to carbs and sugar Soo much lately it needs to be started off. If I get sweet on my pallet it wants more more more. But the 3 days , it is stopped it in its tracks!!! Your very good with good prep so I'm sure u can get creative to find somethings satisfying to you as you break the cravings if you decide to try this way Cheese is one of my go to and I find a nice serving of a hot protein keeps the hunger at bay . Ps avocados are a staple for me , they make a creamy smoothie , matter of fact I do them with cacao and lil honey for a treat with whatever I have or whatever I'm in the mood for at that time. I promise once you go the three days the sugar stuff won't even appeal to you. I love The Lord Jesus connected our paths One of my most used scriptures is: Proverbs 16:9 The heart of man plans his way , but the LORD establishes his steps. Just lil of my story: For myself ( all our paths are different ) , I use to fill my schedule with this that and the other. Helping where I thought it was needed, volunteering etc. I would end up so stressed out . He was telling me to just be and in all I do I am serving him and that he would direct my steps as he needed be. This took me a long time to grab hold of but once I depletedd myself I finally stopped filling my calendar and just waited on Him , I was in awe of the things that would come up and the many different would use me daily. I was available without my own agenda to get in the way. I have been rolling this way for about 7 years now and still am in awe of the things that pop up every day. There are days he to just needs me to be still and sit in his presence which refreshes my soul for what ever he has ahead. I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being Psalm 104:33 what I have noticed in most is those degrees tend to bring a way that has a sense of i know something you don't. Real Raw and Genuine is where we are weak He is strong and others want to know where that joy is from, not what one knows. Id love to dig in the scriptures one day of all the many places he talks of using those with out reputation . Maybe we could study it out together in the future.
