If you fought this boss that many times. Why on God's green earth would you start the fight out trying to summon. In most runs he starts with that move maybe just dodge it and summon when he's recovering from that?

I usually run the bubble tear but because of gear changes it got swapped out. Shit happens.

Start by running at him. If he doesn’t jump at you after like 2 seconds, then you get time to summon.

use opaline bubble tear in your wondrous physick and that first attack will do a lot less damage when summoning (or just dodge and summon after)

One thing that helped me in this fight was if you dodge the 1st jumping attack there’s a small window to get a summon off or better yet counter with an incantation that does Scarlet rot the the one you get for beating Malenia. Not sure if the latest patch changes the pattern of attack tho, heard Gaius is different now.

Buckets are a lot of fun and definitely useable I’m currently at the 6th main boss on my first ever play through gotta ask tho no kick into stagger I know you used heavy attack but I think personally kick is more viable for the buckets

Vats literally the worst mechanic to any game ever. I never uaed it. Actually it never existed in any fallout i played ever. Thays how much i used it. I never played any other shooting game with it. You just suck at aiming if you use it. Why tf did you use it point blank.
