We have tried to measure "cultural violence" by taking a look at the legal situation regarding child corporal punishment, domestic violence against women, capital punishment etc. and combined it in the "Culture of Violence Scale".

Great video. What always bothered me is that snows south London study which proved the connection with water and cholera not the broad street investigation. In fact there are a lot of weird details with the pump.. The deaths declined prior to the handle removal on the 8th. The only physician who saw the suspected index patient didn’t believe it was cholera. Or the general board of healths house to house inquiry team finding evidence that would explain shows strange finding which can be found in the appendix of the report of scientific inquiry. Such as the hampstead widow had another connection to the area. Her son lived with her but continued to travel to the broad street area every day, meeting with one of his infected coworkers.

It's wild to blame the medical community when the creators should be held accountable. Big Pharma knows what they're doing and someone has to stop the creators, not the users.

How come those protons, hydrogen nuclei desperate for an electron, don't tear everything around them apart? I would have thought all that charged atomic hydrogen would rip electrons of anything it got near.

Today I randomly came across a lady doing Turkish coffee readings which is something I've always wanted to do. She saw several symbols in my coffee cup. Her first observation was that there's something in my life causing my great anxiety but that there is a literal light at the end. She also saw some very interesting symbols like a woman surrounded by bees next to a man near beaded curtains trying to work an issue out, a small figurine, and a cake which indicates a celebration. I was wondering if anyone else has found similar symbols and how accurate they were (what happened in your future?). She also told me how once she did a reading for someone and saw pyramids and later that person got a scholarship to study in Egypt.

I'm a chronic pain patient too. Its awful. Makes for a very long life... it started at 19 yrs old and by 27 yrs old I'd had 3 major back surgeries. I tried to fix it. It's not fixable. Every updated MRI/CT scan shows more progression of DD/SS... its an invisible disability. If only people could see it/feel it... they wouldn't want to be me for more than 1 hour. They'd want an escape.

When I was younger I took an interest in Government. Now I know people were telling me that Politicians were corrupt and dishonest and that the system was corrupt and all. But I figure I needed to learn and if I was being encouraged as well as discouraged maybe I could just see what was happening for real. So far as I know, Affirmative Action is Law and if it is unjust we have an opportunity to change Laws. As a White male who has never dated a Black Woman what bothers me are the sexual accusations people make towards my neutrality stand on affirmative action. I've never been in a position where I could do anything one way or another. I work normally with people and attempt to mind my own business. It's sort of easy when people claim I'm a homosexual pervert or a sexual pervert who likes Blacks. People seem to avoid me. And honestly I avoid them. Even when society passes laws, corrupt government people and politicians find ways to get what they want. My suspicion is that Affirmative Action as a legal process may have a dishonest or even illegal purpose. Is there a point to all this?

Until you've gone through it, you really have no idea. Withdrawal, especially now with fentanyl, is as close to unbearable as it gets. I know many people who have died simply through the ravages of withdrawal. The severe cramps all over your body and non-stop vomiting completely drains you. If you're not in great physical shape, it can easily overtax you to the point of death. It's a vicious chain what is happening now to people addicted to opioids. You may start off on something as light as Percocet. Then one day you can't get them anymore. You're forced to choose between withdrawal or going to heroin. Eventually, you find out none of the dealers you know have heroin anymore; they've all switched to fentanyl. Now, you can't get any opioids that don't contain something else like xylazine, cocaine, or both, which most people don't want but have no choice. Over time, the only "stuff" that gets you well is the particular brand you've been using because none of them are exactly the same. People need to see the horrors that others endure every day in the United States. The whitewashed experience you see on TV is nothing compared to reality. I've worked in IT for over 20 years, but now I work at a shelter trying to help addicts. The infections are nothing short of horrific-the literal stuff of nightmares. These people want and deserve help, but their choices are few and outdated. People are now addicted to multiple substances even though they're only trying to buy one. It's absurd when people think addicts are living the good life off taxpayers' money. If you offered me millions of dollars, I wouldn't switch places with anyone in my shelter. We need to stop being sheep by listening to politicians. The reality is heartbreaking and dangerous. Anyone experimenting with opioids today must not know what they are in for. If you want to just use heroin, you are out of luck. We need to educate people on the reality of the situation today. We need far better programs for weaning people off opiates mixed with other drugs, safely. No matter what you think, these people are trapped. The fear and depression they endure every day-well, I don't know how they do it. When you've lost everything, including body parts, "YOU CAN DO IT!" isn't going to cut it. Take care, everyone. I wish you all the best.

And this all evolved from some random chemicals in the early oceans? That's akin to putting a billion monkeys in a room with a billion typewriters and a trillion sheets of paper, coming back in a few million years, and finding they have not only written the combined works of Shakespeare, but all of Einstein's and Heisenbergs pspers, plus all of Beethoven's symphonies.

Paul certainly could have spoken Hebrew and Aramaic (or either one of them) since he was a Pharisee, taught under the renowned Pharisee and physician/doctor Gamaliel, as said in Acts. There's more indication that he did than not.
