Beautiful film of the Queen and Spirit; my sister and I were there 3 weeks ago and only got a glimpse of their behinds as they faded into the willow by Jackson dam...but just being in the area was exciting. May she and Spirit thrive and live long and us humans give them respect and the room they need to room in that vast wilderness. She is truly an amazing bear ambassador and they should remain on the ESA.

Beautiful video of this Matriarchal Queen and her beautiful, growing cub, Spirit ... I found watching it meditative in some sense. Thank you for helping to share her earthly and her symbolic presence in this splendid setting, where she brings expanded and timely perspectives for our human species to observe, consider and absorb.

That grey and yellow with the sun behind the rainfall.... A photographer's dream!! I live in Scotland, and film storms on the coast, but i KNOW if I saw the ones the States get, I'd be in amongst it too! What a thrilling addiction to have🙂

Thanks so much! That painting is hanging in our historic farmhouse built in 1917 by my Grandfather along with a number of other paintings. I have close friends living there and I'm gradually turning it into a gallery to host private shows some day. That's a scene near Harvey County West Park northwest of Newton. Hope you had fun in the Flint Hills!

The Grizzly bear is a magnificent and powerful animal for sure with surprising speed and reflexes. Who do you think would come out on top in a battle between a grizzly and a gorilla ? Let me know your opinions and why. I think the gorilla would prevail due to it's superior agility.
