Signs of a good Punk band. Being able to play your songs twice as fast live!

I was a big fan and saw them numerous times. End of the Century was the beginning of the end. They changed their sound and not for the better. Joeys voice does not carry the band. But I still went to every show when they came to Atlanta

I'm an old guy too, but from Road to Halfway is my favorite period. I prefer their poppier sounds, the way Joey wanted them to be. I saw them the first time on the Animal Boy tour, with confusing openers COC and Throwing Muses(??). Saw them a few more times, but they were just too damned fast, and tore the heart and soul out of the tunes!!

Loucura esse show - as músicas se sucedem sem parar, os caras não cansam, isso é o que eu chamaría de rock'n'roll em estado bruto!

I would love it if someone were able to comp all Joey's melody alterations (harmonies) that he's done onto one complete recording. Probably some pretty cool arrangements.

1985-1990 is considered to be their weakest period, due to the heavier sound and playing too fast, one thing i noticed, is that Joey sang so fast, that he would often skip, certain lyric's because it was too fast for him.

Los vi exactamente en el 81 en Donostia. En esta misma época. Bestiales, brutales, impagables... Único concierto que he visto de unos 45 minutos donde la gente no pidió "otra". Era imposible NO se podía "dar más". Concierto que marcó mi vida con 15 años.

This was the tour I saw them on the first time I saw them, in Houston. This is how I remember the tempos being. The only reason I even mention it is because the 2nd time I saw them was in ‘85, 4 years later and they were playing at least twice as fast. With Richie they were playing almost at hardcore tempos, and it didn’t do them any favors in my opinion. The 3rd (and final) time I saw them, in ‘92 they played even faster, and the songs almost sounded mechanical. The first time I saw them it was perfect. Slightly faster than the original recordings but only barely so. I had been wondering if my memories were a bit off, but after watching this I see that it’s exactly how I remember it.
