I recently used scrap cords from a project I “scrapped” to make coasters. I put in some different colors and they turned out great.

Have you fiddled with your starter? I split my starter and started adding diffrent flours to one of them. Just saw the news that your country is experiencing flooding, power outages, and terrible damage. I hope your safe and doing well.
@annabaginova019 күн бұрын
Thank you so much for the message. My family and I are okay but there are many parts of the country that have been hit really hard by the floods 😔 As much as it’s a terrible thing to happen it’s always so heartwarming to see how many people are immediately helping their neighbors, friends and even complete strangers in any way they can. Anyways…as for the started I think I did feed it once with some other flour than the all-purpose that I always use for that. But it wasn’t an experiment but rather that I just didn’t have the all-purpose on hand…

I am truly happy to hear this, it's always nice to know that I can help people with something they've struggled with, even if it's just a macrame knot 😊 As for your hopes though I am sorry to disappoint you but I am not planning to do any more macrame tutorials, at least not in the near future. Ever since I've had my baby my list of priorities has shifted a bit and I prefer to do other things with my time now, such as cooking which is what my new content is all about 😌

I would have added onion and those potatoes to your stew. Instead of doing a separate mash potato.

Huh, I've never thought of that. I usually have the stew with potato gnocchi so I guess I am just used to having the side dish separate...Thank you for the tip, I will give it a go next time!

Hi, I’m new to macrame and have done two basic projects, one with a leaf and one wall hanging using lark and square knots. Both projects were from two different KZbin authors. Even though I followed the measurements very closely, I had so much cords left over in the end, which was a big waste. I would like to do this project, and want to clarify that I need 8ft to 18ft? The finished project barely looks 3 feet. Are the measurements correct? Thanks in advance!
@annabaginova0125 күн бұрын
I get it, the leftover cords are very frustrating but so is running out of cords so I think that's why a lot of people will prefer to have longer cords. The measurements are correct - 18 ft are the longest cords, 8 ft the shortest. The berry knots "consume" a lot of cord and there are a lot of them on that one side so that's why you really need those cords to be quite long.

HI there awesome vid Anna! Any tips on what to do when the peak "window" is really short? about 30 mins at peak before starting to fall down
@annabaginova01Ай бұрын
Glad you liked the video! I think my best advice would be don't worry about it 😅 At least from my own experience I've gone to both ends where I've made bread with "undone" and "overdone" starter and both times the bread was absolutely fine. So I know that for me that usable window is about 2-3 hours long, maybe longer and it's because I don't worry about the peak too much. I would suggest you just try it out and see...Otherwise I guess you could put the starter in a cooler place to slow down the process a bit or even to the fridge if you can't use it for a few more hours, but I have not tried that myself so I can't guarantee that this would actually work.

At what point do you take out 20g of starter to put it in the refrigerator? I have active starter and have made sourdough twice, but still feeding the starter on a daily basis and I want to put it in the fridge like you do.
@annabaginova01Ай бұрын
I don’t “take it out” really, once I add the active starter to my bread I put the whole jar with what’s left in it (usually about 20g) in the fridge. You can basically put it in the fridge once you’ve used it for whatever you need it. If you have a large amount of starter now since you’ve been feeding it often then I would suggest you take the 20g or so right now, put that in the fridge and either use up or throw away the rest. Did that answer your question?
