I heard Firework for the first time from Jontron's video. And immediately fell in love with this music. Then I figured out it was a cover and tried out the original from Katy Perry. Not that I didn't like it, but Jontron just sung it better

The sad truth is that Firework is a very hard song to sing. I keep looking for a female cover that beats Katy Perry's studio version but can't find one. Jontron certainly does a very good male version... but... he is a male. That doesn't count. ;-)

The Jontron version is quite literally better in every way. The singing is better, and the music video is better. Kind of sad that a group of different people with different art and animation styles do a better job than a single team BEING PAID.

its interesting that the katy perrry version is all about the victims and the jon tron version is all about jon tron. obviously the jon tron version is a cover and its nuts he can even sing it, but seeing them side by side like this is.... weird.
