This song has never made more sense to me in my life!!!

Many times, musicians ruin original songs by altering them, BUT NOT TORI. This is 100% emotion in its purest form. In my teens, many people I knew would be like, “you like Tori Amos? She’s kind of weird.” Hell to the no! You have to actually listen and interpret her lyrics and that’s what I absolutely love about her. And if people really think she’s singing about chickens tasting your meat, then they’re the strange ones, not her. Or maybe they’re just a little dumbed down.

I don’t think that album was terrible, far from it, it just had that 80s synthpop / retrowave sound from that Era, and on that regard it hit all the marks. Tori is actually performing a song from that album. Personally I love that 80s sound and love both the Tori we now know, but also the 80s star that never was… and probably for the best, that I have to agree. Tori rules ;)
