What a beast. I had an HK 4 door sedan with a 186 and it is my favourite car of all time. Well maybe an HK Monaro would actually be my favourite if I had owned one.

@@paul-57 Mine as well. I think almost every car guy or girls dream car is a Hk Monaro. Unfortunately they are out of reach for most people now.

This colour is called yulunga maroon and the code for it is 12r. I believe it is only a Hk colour though so maybe check on the winners website for the hg interior code 👍

The quality of those trim items is TRULY OUTSTANDING!! Winners do some great work. Your HK Prem is the only one i've heard of with factory power windows!! I've come across a handful of HGs with these.

They certainly do. I’ve only ever seen one other one with electric windows so it’s definitely not common. This prem was originally owned by the bank of NSW so it had quite a few options when new.

They did an amazing job. Thankfully my HT interior was like new. Hate to get them recovered as partially vinyl and cloth with a unique pattern\texture. Sadly I ran out of money and the car was parted out at the wreckers in Gepps Cross. Never did get an engine for it but had everything else.

Wow that interior looks great. Very very nice. I had a HK Premier in 1970 ... it was Burgundy metalic exterior and that colour of your inside. Nice car - 5.0 with Powerglide. The only changes I made was convert it to disc brakes and put a genuine floor shift console with the HT T-bar handle. Thanks for your video.

Because I only sheeted the corner of the shed behind the workbench I didn’t worry about it. If I was doing the whole shed I definitely would have.

Yeah they are high enough for me. The tops are just over 900mm high. I already had the mobile work bench set up on wheels so I just made it the same height as that so that I can push it up to the main bench if need be.

You're doing a good Job. Our HTs were not worth much a while ago. Only a few thousand dollars, so we didn't spend much on repairs back then. But now we can restore them properly because they are well worth restoring. And these cars are worth a lot more now.

Thanks mate. Yeah there would have been a lot of half arsed repairs done on these cars in the 80s & 90s to keep them on the road. It didn’t help that they rusted pretty well straight out of the factory either. At least doing it properly now they should survive at least another 50 years 👍

@@Wreck2resto How many coats did you do ? Just the one ? I would assume with the rolled on paint, you'd need at least 2 coats, maybe 3 for a decent durability. Was the Dulux product expensive say compared to the rustoleum brand ?

@tonymontana897 I used a roller to apply it. I did 3 coats under the hoist and in the work area and then 2 coats everywhere else.

Had one in the 80s. I’ve done an ek sedan, n a ek Ute. An HK or HG Ute would be my dream vehicle. Urs is beautiful. Only thing I’d change is rims, to deep dish with original hub caps !👍🍻🎯🇦🇺
