Kind of a funny story I have to tell about how I found out about this. We took our 24 ft Regal from Deland FL to Astor FL to eat at the Drifters waterfront restaurant. We were pulling into the no wake zone in Deland and saw this police escort with about 10 boats and had no idea what was going on, we then hollered to another boat find out what all this was about. Turns out it was the great loop challenge leaving to start their journey. I then looked them up and followed along the whole time on Facebook and then found out that he was stopping in New Symrna beach FL for a meet and greet at the Garlic restaurant on his way back to Deland. We went over and met Capt. Red Flowers nicest guy ever and what a great cause all this is for. We also knew which day he was going to be pulling back in. We and about 15 or so boats waited at the south entrance of lake George, Astor FL and we all followed/escorted him along with the police back to Deland. Best of luck to them getting to a million!

This is the first video I’ve seen that mentioned the adjustable captains chair. I am so happy. This chair seemed too low to have a view when piloting the Galeon 500. That was then only downside to this beautiful boat!

Still no performance review on the 62?

I had not considered a Hardgrave before, but it looks great, and appears to be well built. I like Capt. Boo's perspective, although would like to see basic performance information. 👍👍

Stretching the bounds of credibility to call this a review and test. Seems more like a sales tool for Sea Ray. As a potential buyer, this tells me nothing about its shortcomings or its performance in poor conditions. Don't have a problem with you being complimentary about the boat which looks wonderful, but I'd suggest being more honest about the description of your video.

I would not buy that boat. The haul design sucks.

What people need to understand is that mercury active trim hurts speed and efficiency all but the most challenging head or following seas conditions. These hulls need to be in the water. Maximize the water line. The hull is save piercing and needs to have the bow slicing through the water. De activate auto trim and use tabs to keep the nose down. Your video shows the boat bow high. No! Not with the Axopar.

I am confused. this felt more like a commercial than a test video. no numbers given, no details and why didnt she pull it out, bring it in? I thought she was a captain? 😮 I expected distance numbers, best range, details on the engine, looking at all the equipment. Instead we got lounging and sitting back. this woman is not happy.

We appreciate your passion for detailed reviews. This video was focused on showing the fun side of taking the Navan out in Cannes and putting it through rough seas to see how it handles - a different perspective we thought. Our features and walkthrough will be coming soon. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, and rest assured, Capt. Boomies was having a fantastic time with this experience!

As a rule they don't publish a lot of complaints. On other channels they've been cooing over this boat too.

How was the attitude of the boat going downsea in the rough ? Did it track straight ?
@AlexSawley12 күн бұрын
To get them to track straight down sea you have to give them quite a bit of trim, not enough trim and they tend to bow steer.

From Melbourne (Victoria Australia) I want to reach Eden in 10 hours so custom tank of an extra 50 gallons. You`ll take green water in a blow (Bass Strait gets one daily to 50 knots) so I need that front water deflector to be able to be totally enclosed. There`s no fuel available until then. I~d put in a water desal too. Otherwise this beats Riva`s 50 footer so that`s impressive. The shape is so modern it takes some getting used to. All round, a very nice boat indeed. Congratulations. Price?

I’ve watched several of your boat videos and I’ve thought they’ve finally got someone as good as capt steve that I’ve been watching for 7-8 years I think. I kept thinking I know this guy from somewhere and I just realized who you are, I use to watch your videos of your cruising around Florida in the little pilot house boat, I think it was a Parker or something similar.

9:30 The sunshade must be deployed with all four poles. So you shouldn't have to pick them up and carry them individually. It should be in a removable holder so you can bring all of them up to the bow in one trip.
