You CANNOT eat just anything! You can eat a variety of things, but saying eat anything to a type 2 diabetic is probably how they got there in the first place. Discernment is key…..can’t be listening to everyone who projects authority on important matters. There are dieticians for a reason…google scholar can find you relevant studies finally common sense and chats with your doctors will bring you a long way! Don’t spike your blood sugar because it causes cellular damage……which can lead to neuropathy!!!!! Avoid foods that spike it.

Wow! One big reason I doubled in economics with my nutrition. In hopes of understanding the incentive structures and the reasons why the richest country in the world does not have a better food system. Some books I have on this topic are salt sugar fat by Michael moss, the food police by jayson lusk, sugar nation by jeff o connel, fast food nation by eric schlosser, food fight by daniel imhoff and death by the food pyramid by denise minger. I have not read them all yet as I just graduated college. I was hoping to go grad school to study this very topic more but it does not look like that is happening. As an aspiring food economist this video gives me hope that people may be changing the food system through consumer choice. The US without a doubt is the leader of fast food and many developing countries are sadly falling prey to the health issues that come with an overconsumption of fast foods among other convenience foods that are far better in smaller amounts. Food deserts are real especially in the US and gas stations are sometimes the main supplier of foods which is insufficient for nutrient density needs. If you made it this far on my lengthy agreeance I hope this was helpful.

Appreciate your dedication to raising awareness about anorexia. I went through a difficult phase with anorexia nervosa and struggled to find a natural solution. Planet Ayurveda’s herbal supplements, along with proper guidance, played a huge part in my recovery by enhancing my appetite and overall strength. A friend who faced similar challenges had a positive experience too. Highly recommend trying their products if anyone needs help.

I live in Belgium (my whole life) and I love traveling to America. However the food is horrible! I never found tasty bread or fanta that doesn't look like it will desolve my stomach. We tried making spagetti ourselves but even those ingredients tasted off so I am glad someone is gonna take care of the food over there. Also we don't have nearly as much obesity in Europe as the usa does.

I think it will be interesting how his efforts to remove additives, etc. and increase access to nutritious foods will play out. I do worry that his advertisements focus too much on chemicals in our foods (maybe I haven't seen enough of him) and not enough on how to create a better food environment for everyone to be able to eat closer to a whole foods diet. I think picking on the chemicals in our food makes it easy for the public to point at what they think is causing their health problems when it is probably more likely their food pattern in general causing health problems and other factors - just my two cents.

Yes, I'm concerned whenever anyone talks about "chemicals" in an overly vague way. Its a fear mongering oversimplification. I wouldn't mind seeing healthier ingredients akin to what you get in Europe. I feel like a lot of Americans are going to hate it though- they like the concept of being healthy, but it's going to be a hard transition off corn syrup lol

I think its been way too long that it’s hitting mainstream tv. The USA organic standards are waayy lower than that of European organic standards. They ban certain fats fr food and they go for gas cars. These are all attempts (some not so thought out fully) at making the earth and or us healthier . Im tired of any time the Republicans come up with a good idea, it gets twisted and mocked by people that are blinded by anger.. this make America healthy Again imo is a Beautiful idea and should be a new thing forever. No 1 wants to be sick. And theres good tasting food thats healthy. We just need it more available. This is something we all should be doing. It helps with mental health as well.

I'm not sure what opinion you are asking for. Yes, our food and pharma industries have been corrupt for decades. Medicine specifically for close to a century. Not only that, there has been a revolving door between government regulatory agencies and pharma, and most likely, food industries for decades as well. I mean, look at fluoride. It's Literally toxic waste and they've been adding it to the water supply since WW2. My opinion is he will be good for the health of our country.

@@yapunion absolutely: - spinach - roasted acorn squash - onions - roasted carrots - pomegranate arils - Parmesan cheese - celery - tomatoes The great thing about this recipe is you can easily swap out items. For instance, if you are not a fan of acorn squash, you can swap it out for brussels sprouts. If you are not a fan of spinach, you can swap it out for kale. If you are not a fan of tomatoes, you can swap it out for Green apples. all you need to make sure is that you have something warm (roasted veg), sweet (a fruit), tart (citrus, vinegar), and sharp (cheese or onions)
