history of class. hunter & gatherer (no class) 1) In AGRIcultural societies (started growing crops n food for every1. so other became free & started others things like ironsmith/clothing) -> trading (Exchange food for cloth). starts concept of private property = root cause of class division. 2) modern capitalist societies - bourgeoisie , proletariat 3) industrial societies - boss (has machinery), worker 4) ancient societies - master , slave 5) feudal societies (nobility) - lord (owned land on which surfs wrked), surf every society has oppressor n oppressed. class struggle ends by revolution : proletariat shud hv their own business & not work under em as workers. social structure will change & will become communist society.

criticism of marxism. 1) in history, there has been class struggle within a class. ie there is conflict b/w rich ppl of upper class. but he didnt explain that. he explained class warfare at narrow level. 2) he explained class wrt only economic/ wealth. ignored social etc. 3) propaganda to help poor get rights & create fear among rich. 4) revolution come only when there is industrilization = wrong. coz there was rev. in China & Russia eventho they werent industrilized.
