Bullshit, no need to hold the key untill the engine starts, and there is no touch sensor for trunk opening, just a simple button

ISSUES 1) if key fob is cold, it does not work (the red LED does not blink when pushing buttons). anybody else have this problem? 2) is there a way to clean the circuit board and contacts? will spraying contact cleaner into the interior of the shell be okay? 3) i do not like key fobs that can operate car locks or ignition by merely being in the proximity, it is only a matter of time before hackers will defeat the security coding and steal your car.

I have this same model Audi. But my key won’t work if I press the start button. It says No Key Identified. All buttons of key work. It would only start the vehicle if I put the key in slot. Any suggestions?

It may possible the unlock / locking door motors went out on you're vehicle. I own a 2009 Audi A4, and both my drivers side and rear passenger door do not unlock or lock via keyfob. To open drivers door without keyfob, just press the small button on back of keyfob to release the laser cut key and use that to both unlock and lock the door. As for thr cost of fixing both the locks on my doors at the Audi dealership? Its like over 1k, so I said screw that and just use this old fashioned method.
