ULL ran 76 offensive plays compared to USM’s offense than ran 40 plays…ULL made 22 first downs compared to USM only converting 8 first downs for the entire game. Will Hall is in his 4th season and after 5 games in the season, it is now painfully obvious that the football program is going in the wrong direction. What is really disgusting is that the leaders at USM are allowing this train wreck to play out and they are remaining silent and complacent. They are not acting like leaders who strive for success.

3 total points in the second half of the four FBS games this year means this guy cannot coach! Hall is now 1-18 at USM vs FBS teams with winning records! The one win came against at a Tulane teams that double USM's yards, first downs and time of possession (ahh he got lucky)! HE HAS TO GO!!!

I am privileged to have grown up in the Golden Age of the Raiders.. Guy, Madden, Shell, Upshaw, Stabler, Biletnikoff, Allen, Hendricks, Blanda, Haynes, Hendricks, Woodson, Casper, Brown, Al Davis..and so many others.. They were not only a great football team, they were the most fun to watch.. so many great comebacks..

He was not just a punter. Played safety and was an emergecy qb. Pitched for the baseball team. Threw a one hit shutout against ole miss. Played on the golf team. Probably the best all around athlete to ever wear the black and gold. Only punter in the hall of fame for the nfl.

The greatest ever. He was my idol. I studied him and studied him. Never came close to even his below average punts, LOL but I sure as hell was above and beyond my competition between grade school thru High School. My nickname in HS was "Moon-Unit"...I didn't kick it far but next to nobody ever returned my punts. Everybody stood around waiting for it to come back down....LOL.

I remember watching Sammy Winder when he played for Denver. I got him to do a job for us with his construction company after he went back to Mississippi. I understand that he actually started that construction company while he was still playing for the Broncos. You never heard anything bad about him on a personal level, like so many others who throw their money away. He is very sharp with everything he has ever done.

Southern Miss has always had things that were different than many others such as, if you go back to the 1950s and early 60s their coach, Pye Vann attracted some of the most outstanding defense to have ever played in the last 70 years. During those times they didn't have much offense, but they would beat high-ranking teams with scores like 2 to 0, or 6 to 0, with 2 field goals.
