Noel just knew back then that Oasis were going to succeed. I remember an interview he did when he said that he thought that album number three was going to be the big one, and the runaway success of MG took even him by surprise. He had a plan right from the start, and deliberately held this one back for what he thought would be Oasis's magnum opus, even though it was fully written before they were even signed. Select magazine published a transcript of the famous 1994 NME interview (the one that gave us Wibbling Rivalry) of content that never made the published piece. In it, Noel said something like "I've got a song called All Around the World, which is going to be massive, but we're not going to record it yet because Creation haven't got the money". Owen Morris said that Noel's songs were always fully arranged before they were recorded "like fuckin's Abba", and you can hear it here. The chords, lyrics, melody structure and even arrangements are all identical to the version that ended up on Be Here Now. That's vision.

Amazing how Liam’s voice changes in the 6 months between April (Cigarettes and Alcohol) and Oct (Supersonic) - that Definitely Maybe tour turned a clean note perfect Liam into the beginnings of the rasping Liam

I was there 19yrs old, remember a bottle getting thrown at Liam during the first tune. I'd got onto them off the free NME tape with the demo of Cigarettes & Alcohol on a few weeks before. Great gig!

The smoothest Liam ever sounded, before the rasp and snarl set in after Glastonbury later in the year. Biblical performance from the band. February 6th 94 was some day at Gleneagles.

Perfection.. apart from Noels little gaff. If only they sounded this good all the way through to 2009. All the set is bang on from Liams vocals, Tony's raw drumming, Boneheads rhythm & Guigsys deep baseline, to Noels lead. Outstanding ✌🏻

This is by far, the best voice liam ever had, absolutely monster performances of every songs, complete with good crowd engagement and improvised parts to songs. He nails almost every G4 on Slide Away and goes for the A4s on Columbia without cracking. Really impressive stuff, it is a shame this gig was not chosen for the DVD over the one at Southend. It is good, but not this good.

I loved this album when it came out and still do. I can't understand oasis fans saying it's rubbish. Turn up the sun, Lyla, tiobi, love like a bomb and the meaning of soul are top songs. If any band today came out with this album it would be talked about for years. Oasis were victims of their own success man

I was at this gig - it was mental. We had seats at the very back and ended up jumping down from there to the back half of the standing area, and then climbing over the middle barrier and ended up right down the front!
