I'd love to add a griddle to my arsenal. There's so much more styles of cooks I could add into my line up.

We've used this griddler for a variety of items including steak, fish, vegetables kzbin.infoUgkxMcXT6_MuT0hB3ejyGQQHaeof9bwoWPUf and mushrooms and it's been great! Gets that great smokey flavor when using high heat or sear. The grill works amazingly simple and very low smoke for what it is. Heat gets up fairly quick, especially on closed position. The griddler side is fairly simple, better for eggs and pancakes rather than any cooking. Use the flat plates with the grill side if needed.Cleanup is easy and having heat on both sides is great for cooking a large amount or panini press.This definitely gets hot though so be careful with the sides.

I use the collapsing basting cover as a chip bowel looks cool to me and goes with all my blackstone accessories. I always get compliments on my set when I’m tailgating at White Sox and Bears games. Adventure ready prep cart, 22” adventure ready with stand, and the carry caddy.

thanks for this video. My left lower drawer on my 28 pro series isnt sliding properly and came off the rail. Its dark out and I didnt want to take a chance damaging it any worse....so back to youtube I went and found your video. I will take a better look at it during daylight hours and it looks pretty simple to correct. If not, hopefully I can contact blackstone and get a replacement part if needed.

What temp is the griddle?
@dr.j1616
@dr.j1616 2 жыл бұрын
I usually run my griddle from 350-400°. I will go a little higher when I want to seer a steak or something but for the most part, those are the normal cooking temps on my griddle at Low set point.

did you have any issues with the pins aligning into the frame when installing the griddletop? mine are misaligned and don't allow the griddle top to fully seat back into the slots on the frame. Everything else is perfect but it does bother me that it isn't fully seated in. if someone were to grab and pull on the handle they can easily shift the griddle top on the frame. so far no issues out of anything else though and have done my first test cook after seasoning and really enjoyed it.

Geezzz!!!! I read the comments and I think people theses days are so critical. This guy is loving life cooking and grilling. He never once made a claim that he is a chef. Jesus commander us over 280 times that we should love each other. Look here Dr. J I appreciate you and your willingness to film. I can build on what you have presented. It takes humility to show your mistakes so we all can learn from them. Keep up the good work! And as always keep seeking Jesus!

Can you get similar results if you use a stand alone flat top griddle that you use inside the kitchen?
@dr.j1616
@dr.j1616 2 жыл бұрын
Yes. The main differences are the heat distribution and how much heat dissipation occurs when you add your food to the hot metal. You may have to keep the heat a little higher to get the same results but it will be similar.
